  1. That's what I was thinking. Doesn't give you much hope for the future of our pitching staff.
  2. Definitely. I was picturing 6 runs and our bullpen coming in during the first.
  3. He sucks at that too. I know, but at least he's out of a Cubs uniform that way.
  4. Yeah, this team can't really overcome much more at this point in the injury department. What I've wondered is how much it might have already been bothering him day to day.
  5. OMG, I cannot believe Miles. He looks lost all the time. Unreal.
  6. Not a good year for the health of Cubs' starting pitchers.
  7. It really is hard to believe, still!! I thought he was gonna be a franchise guy, possibly a future HOFer. W
  8. All joking aside, I totally forgot he was still on this team until today when I had the WGN pregame show on, and they said he was in the lineup. He's just terrible.
  9. Further evidence that Lou is losing it!
  10. I can't get over the "Sean Marshall in Left Field" thing... I mean, I watched the game, but I still can't get beyond it... so weird....
  11. he was letting go and taking huge rips tonight. the problem is it looks like it was hurting him i mean it was obvious they rushed him back. every time the cubs lost a game it seemed like his return date would be moved up a day. this feels a lot like the derrek lee injury in 06. he rushed back, sucked for a while, and then ended up back on the DL. i've be shocked if ramirez doesn't hit the dl again eventually They were treading water without him, I'd rather they have waited til at least after the AS break, and then go from there. I know he wanted to come back BAD, but not so sure it's a great idea.
  12. Fontenot must really be in Lou's doghouse. Baker two games in a row, both vs RHP. That's the best 3-6 in baseball if all those guys are hitting close to their potential Definitely. The "if" is the problem.
  13. Fontenot must really be in Lou's doghouse. Baker two games in a row, both vs RHP. I was just gonna type this before I saw your post. Wow. I would've thought Font would be getting the nightcap.
  14. In 11 starts he's only given up 4 runs once, same with 3 runs. Together with Lilly, he's the only Cubs starter I trust on the mound for a solid outing right now. Actually, it's pretty awesome that he's been able to do that in so little time. I couldn't agree with you more.... I have every confidence in him, but you know, I'm a lifelong Cubs fan, no rest for the weary....
  15. Got a weird feeling about this one, but I'm looking forward to it overall. The catching thing is reason to tune in. Gotta win one for sure.
  16. It still worked out better for him than his latest fishing expedition. I feel bad for laughing at this, but damn that's funny Tacky but funny....
  17. Nope. Let's just hope we don't need them.
  18. Ha ha, way to put your cheek into it MB!
