  1. aww look guys it has feelings
  2. we're officially into crazyland territory also, kane is just the best. he's doing that thing where he's moving at regular speed and everyone else is going at slow motion. he's the puck whisperer
  3. carbomb to the brooklyn nets for sarah kustok
  4. yeah i'm sure in hindsight they wish they hadn't done that Wild fans said that after the first Bhawks goals on the hockeys future forums. then wild fans are as dumb as steve konroyd
  5. konroyd yeah i'm sure in hindsight they wish they hadn't done that
  6. aww sonofa, i don't get that stupid channel
  7. i'm curious what you base this on. not because i disagree, but because i'm having a hard time really pinpointing anything to say that one has a clear edge over the other this year points-wise, there's what i would think a pretty clear argument that the top-half of the west is better than the top-half of the east so far. there's some parity there, so you know competition is tough, and all those jerks have to play the blackhawks. in a year when the blackhawks aren't the greatest thing on earth, there would be a leveling of points amongst those teams. my instinct is to say that the west is better, based on some of that, but it's pretty flimsy so i'm more inclined to think it's about even overall and montreal is the best team in the east, which i think is pretty cool. not just by record, but by 5x5 goal differential, team +/-, etc. they're actually pretty close to the hawks so far, in terms of dominance. my guess would be those two teams in the final then pens are horrible defensively and probably won't get past the second round, so i don't really care what they do. i think carolina and toronto are better
  8. yeah, he's been solid. his problem is he plays on such a fast, skilled team that he goes unnoticed, except when you notice that he's slower than a lot of the team Pretty much. He showed some smooth hands yesterday it just surprised me. But I heard an opposing announcer refer to him as an offensive defenseman the other day and it surprised me. Figured it was because he's not all that great of a defensive defenseman. as a follow-up, the by the numbers espn article today yesterday points out that roszival leads the team in corsi (small sample size alert) and is 4th in the league for those with 10 or more games (selective sampling alert) article numbers i think it's kind of interesting that an espn article is referencing a statistic it does not track. i'm sure it's probably common with some of the baseball writers, but i guess i never really thought about it until now
  9. 4-6"? The storm doesn't look like it should be that bad for Chicago standards. SAYS THE GUY IN CALIFORNIA i've been operating on the warning, which states 4-8, up to 10. if it stays on the low end, you're right, not too bad. but if it starts getting up there, rescheduling for the safety of the driving spectators might be prudent. i would think it would have to be pretty bad for that to happen though, condensed schedule and such
  10. if there is a game tonight, i was thinking it might be cancelled if this storm is bad enough
  11. I think we all know the answer to this. Because of the media circus? Because, baseball wise, this fits their plan to sign every injured guy who has a chance to make it look like a good investment. A strategy that I am completely on board with. Come on, this front office has done pretty much everything possible to distance themselves from the previous regime. No way they let Prior come in here at this point. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-01-17/sports/chi-cubs-prior-20130117_1_cubs-prospects-cubs-convention-marc-strickland

Figured it was because he's not all that great of a defensive defenseman. haha, yeah, he is probably damned by faint praise quite a bit. not sure if you caught it, but during one of those intermission coach interviews a few games back, mike kitchen was answering a question about rozsival and how they were pleased with his performance, and that "he understands his limitations". lol
  13. yeah, he's been solid. his problem is he plays on such a fast, skilled team that he goes unnoticed, except when you notice that he's slower than a lot of the team
  14. wow, that pass for the assist by toews was incredible man, i hope crow gets healthy soon, emery looked beat tonight
  15. ugh no, white with blue piping is literally one of the stock images on yahoo fantasy baseball you can choose for your team oh hey look up to bat its rizzo for the chicago immaculateconcepcions
  16. i hate playing the blues and i had a feeling this was going to be the game that ended the streak, but it's good to be wrong. just goes to show you can out-physical this team all you want, you can't take them off their game
  17. an all-white uniform looks low budget as [expletive] and makes them look like milkmen from the 50's
  18. that reminds me, what's chip caray up to these days?
  19. surely someone prepared a press release
  20. barry rozner attacks! ugh what a hack umm actually, fans in hockey do cheer good defense. often. also, no, defense does not win you games. it can only prevent you from losing.
  21. the west is where its at. start times will never be perfect, but it's pretty bad for detroit, in the eastern time zone, to be playing teams in the pacific time zone. perhaps special scheduling consideration should be given to ensure the original six play each other more, but outside of that, i think separating the hawks and the wings isn't all that big of a deal at this point. it just makes sense.
  22. famous last words lol no seriously though, you look at that schedule and you wonder how used to crap teams the hawks are going to be when they hit the playoffs. mainly because this team is so awesome you have to invent things to worry about
  23. if this happens and he's still steve montador, omg
  24. should be almost interesting to see where carbomb lines up
