    Considering the cumulative BA of our team vs. Tomko...they might be few and far between. I see a pitcher's duel.

    In 4 AB today he raised his BA by 47 points (.214 to .261). :D The bigger issue is what craziness Dusty is doing with the 2-hole. Keep Todd Walker there. He's hitting like .450+ right now. Why are you switching him out? Stop fudging around with 2b, and just be happy with Walker. Don't fix what ain't broke. Jerry Hairston and Neifi are just disasters. Heck, Murton in the 2-hole wouldn't be that bad of an idea either.

    Shaq and "Flash" (I hate that stupid nickname) only had 20 minutes each. Shaq still managed to send half of our team into foul trouble with his limited minutes.

    I think the coaches feel the pressure to win these beginning games w/o Wood and Prior here to go deep into the game and dominate. They don't seem to be confident in our starters, so every lead we get after the 5th innings gets the best we have out of the pen. We have a solid pen, lets just hope we don't wear 'em out.

    that was yesterday :lol: Iowa tied 1-1 in the 3rd..Brandon Sing homered. I wouldn't put it past Fred to be able to see the future true, I wouldn't either :lol: Murton K's to end the top half of the 8th. Its true- better plate discipline means slightly more SO. Take more marginal calls at the plate.

    IMO, it's fine to swing at the first couple pitches provided you make decent contact. Murton smoked that ball in fair ground on the second pitch he saw (an inside fastball no less). I'm not sure what more you can ask. That late in the game, you don't need to worry about wearing down the pitcher. Murton hit a HR on the first pitch the other day. Was that a bad AB b/c he didn't take a few pitches? Cedeno swung at the first pitch and poped out weakly to 2B. That was a great AB? Why is anyone defending that? ...oh, b/c it's Cedeno, one of our precious young uns. Who cares about Neifi? He's not in the game b/c of his bat. A regular starter, like Murton and Cedeno have higher standards to live up to. I don't see how that is in any way unfair. So you are saying that it's okay for the Cubs to miss the playoffs every year because they are the Lovable Losers and they're expected to lose but if the Yankees miss the playoffs all hell should break loose because they are expected to make the playoffs? Wait...what? He's saying he had higher expectations for Cedeno than Perez. We all know Perez is gonna stink up the joint, thats what he does. Thats all. Its not "OK", but when you come to expect it, it hurts a little less.

    ' sweet. I dint think they stood a chance w/o Curry Not to keep a second, off-topic, discussion going, but: They've really impressed me these last ~12 games, really turned on the intensity, at times looked like last years' Bulls. With that said, they are going out in the first round. :lol:

    Who, other than Dusty, would even put Bynum in the 2 hole? Just b/c Dusty puts Bynum in there doesn't mean Cedeno belongs in the 2 hole over Walker, Murton, or Hairston. WHAT IS WITH ALL THE SHUFFLING THAT DUSTY INSISTS ON WITH THE BATTING ORDER LEAVE IT BE IF SOMEONE IS BATTING .450+ KEEP HIM IN THE 2 HOLE. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS MAN. MATT MURTON WOULD BE BETTER AT 2 THAN THIS FREDDIE BYNUM CHARACTER. WELCOME TO NSBB P.S. Caps are annoying But... buut.... I'm outraged.
