  1. There are still 5 more days till Sunday. Curse this bye week! Curse it! After watching ATH and the insanity that is that show, they helped me realize the exact opposite of what they were arguing for. Everything about a victory for the Bears resides on the shoulders of the Offensive Line, Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson. If we can open up the running game and get 120+ yards rushing I really like our chances. If Grosman attempts less than 20 passes, I like our chances even more. And that has nothing to do with Grossman and everything to do with Ron Turner. Keep running, Ron!
  2. Probably. What is the relationship between Lovie and the Bears owner and GM'? lovie was with angelo in tampa and was brought in by the man, who was desperate to get rid of hatley-hire jauron, going so far as to sabotage the 2003 bears by cutting ted washington, and watching the defense fall apart. i'll never forgive angelo for that, he's a low-down dirty piece of human garbage for stabbing jauron in the back like that--it was as transparent as you can get. .     Wow...you can't be serious with that post. It was awful seeing Jauron continue his miserable existence on the basis of a fluke 13-3 season. Jerry's hand was forced, honestly, I would have cut Jauron right after 2002 and that miserable season Awful, awful awful coaching. He had 4 losing seasons and one good season. Great. He was AWFUL.
  3. Jesus, Bill Plaschke is a tool. I want more Michael Wilbon.
  4. I like it! Even though its comparing eras, and thats a big no-no.
  5. This article just proves that Scoop is a terrible writer. It's heavily biased towards the Bears obviously, and the entire article is garbage. I'm also fairly certain Rex never said "When it's all said and done, I will have multiple Super Bowl rings." I'm pretty sure what he said was "If I have multiple Super bowl rings, I will be satisfied with my career," or something to that effect. Many players would kill to have the chance for one. Seeing as we are in this spot very early in his career gives him the opportunity to aim for a higher goal. How much would it suck to have his career peak here? Not literally, but figuratively. He could still have a great career but never again approach teh Super Bowl.
  6. I'd like to see them get Rashied Davis the ball more. Good things always happen when he does.
  7. Is the jinx for the big picture or anyone on the cover? This could be a case where both teams lose. Are we honestly going to start talking about cover jinxes? Jesus people. The only curse in the NFL that truly works is the Madden curse. Everyone know sthat. That's what Saints fans said last week when I put up the Brees cover... :) Correlation =/ Causation

  9. Wow, thats a pretty gay cover. Seriously, they couldn't find a better shot of Peyton?
  10. I'm going to get the article were Mariotti said Lovie Smith was a terrible choice for Head Coach.
  11. Wow, thats actually pretty lame. All he did was point back. Who really made a big deal about the taunting? Christ. I mean 5,000 to Reggie Bush is pocket change, but its still pretty ridiculous.
  12. What, you mean you don't like the washed out highlights on "BEARZ BLITZ" and other Comcast Sports Net fine programming? Haha, I don't even have Comcast. I can watch lots of Cardinals stuff though on FSN Midwest :\ I get both here in Champaign, IL. All the Rams coverage is puzzling, considering I don't think most St. Louisians even root for them.

  14. I have to say I'm dissapointed in this thread. I expected it to be at 100 by one week, but I'm sure it'll be near 150 when we get near the Super Bowl as the hype constantly builds.
  15. How does one pronounce Woj-alphabet's name anyway?
  16. The Harmon Forecast uses the same software and has predicted the opposite outcome, which is weird because Harmon uses Accuscore technology. Check cbs.sportsline.com I'm quoting this because again, I'm realy confused.

  18. A good amount of people think the Bears victory was a turnover-fueled fluke. They think the Saints just gave us the game with their mistakes. Never underestimate the human capacity for self-delusion. HURRRR REX GORSSMAN, WORST QUARTERBACK IN THE SUPERBOWL ERA HOW COULD THIS TEAM EVEN WIN A GAME HURRRRRRRR
  19. The problem is every play can't be looked at objectively. A 15 yard TD run by Thomas Jones in the last 8 minutes of an 18 point ball game isn't worth the same as it would be in the first half, for example. We were kinda "padding our stats" at that point.
  20. I think he was being sarcastic, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. He basically said the Bears got lucky that the Saints decided to give them the game. I thought he was being sarcastic as well. Yeah , I Guess, but he's still sorta implying he doesn't have to come up with any reasons why the Bears can win. Lazy ass reporters. Can't they stop being sheep sometime?
  21. I think he was being sarcastic, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. He basically said the Bears got lucky that the Saints decided to give them the game. The Bears should be happy they scared the Saints into giving them 195 yards rushing. Damn its cold out there. That homefield advantage thing is just unfair.
  22. Wow, Dr.Z is really infuriating. He flat out said that if the Bears win he wont give them respect and it'll just be virtue of luck. We can't even prove the guy wrong with a victory? Thats absurd.
  23. Ouch. Ah well, he'll be laughing all the way to the bank. And then he'll be out of the NFL. I sorta feel for the guy, but honestly, he's a pretty horrible QB. He's also made an ass of himself enough times that he should have the self-respect (or the shame?) to quit getting lit in public. So this guy has to hide in shame because there are pictures of him being drunk? And this hasn't happened to every other college student ever? Why should he be publicly shamed?

  25. That's just silly. You can't expect the media to miss a day of hype. Plus, with an 8:30 pm interview session they might miss dinner. It's still silly. If I were the Colts, I'd arrive an extra day late just to make 'em more mad. What's the penalty for showing up late I wonder? The opposing team automatically starts every drive at the offending team's 25 yard line :D Good, more time for the Colt offense to be on the field. 8-) 25 yards? No room for Rextacy to throw bombs to Berrian. We'd just come up with 42 yard field goals on every drive. We'd lose 42-18 or something. (All 18 points are on field goals)
