    Adam Dunn hasn't hit a homer in a while. In fact he's been hurting my fantasy team pretty badly.

    I don't think "figuring" out a hitter is as simple as you make it seem. He pretty much can control the entire strike zone and has absurd power over certain portions of the plate. No matter how "figured" out he is, a pitcher has to be pretty perfect with his spots to get him out. The problem is cleary with Pujols himself.

    Yep. What's amazing to me is that every single Cubs team since 1987 has been horrible fundamentally, can't take a walk, can't run the bases, the pitchers walk too many hitters, defense is shaky. It doesn't matter the personnel or the roster, the Cubs have forever played bad baseball. Almost exactly like Chicago Bears football, except replace hitting with "offense, or any sort of ability to pass the ball" , and lack of fundamentals.

    If I was Ted Lilly I was curse the day I decided to sign with the Cubs. These guys actually make an effort to not score for him.

    Hype is what hype is. When someone is absolutely dominant for an extended period of time, they'll get attention. If its June and Hill is still in the Cy Young race, he'll be getting attention.

    I have both Albert Pujols and Ted Lilly on my fantasy team. (I've benched Albert for the moment though, he's been dragging my team through the dirt long enough :lol: )

    Dude, how tiresome is this little rant? They've blown more heartbreaking games in the past 2 weeks than any Cubs team I've seen in a while. Oh wait...

    I have a feeling we take down the first 2 series' in the Eastern Conference and then get waxed in the Eastern Conference Championship or the NBA finals. (Thus simultaneously exceeding expectations and dissapointing, like if they beat the Pistons in a 7 game series and then proceed to lose to the Cav's or something) Still doesn't make me happy about not taking down the 2 seed. These guys just don't want to make it any easier on themselves do they? They can never play when they are the ones expecting to win, they can only play well when their backs are against the wall and they are just about to bumped off.

    At least the NBA playoffs start this weekend. Hopefully the Bulls stay in long enough to distract me from this crappy team. They wont.

    Hey guys we're getting closer! Before we'd get waxed and teh cubs will pull within one or two runs and we'd lose. Then the cubs would get waxed and then they would tie it and lose. Now they are pulling ahead but then lose the lead. Keep your hopes up~! Maybe we might win a game sometime soon.

    What do you call it when you expect to be dissapointed and you aren't...dissapointed? I sure as hell wasn't expecting the Bulls to play like a bad HS team tonight. Yea, I'm disappointed. I wasn't expecting this at all. On the road, in the clutch? (against a mediocre Nets team they haven't had figured out for 3 years now?) You sure as hell wouldn't find me surprised they are playing like crap.
