However, I'm more interested in what he's continued to prove at the major league level - he sucks - year after year after year. He's played in the majors for one year. ONE. YEAR. He's got nothing more to prove in the minors, he has no options left, and the Cubs have nobody obviously better on the team at SS. There's no reason he can't at least get a shot this year, at least in some kind of platoon option with Theriot. This is basically what I'm thinking. Tyrant makes a good point, but there still a CHANCE he could learn and adjust his play to be able to be a better player than Theriot. And thats basically all he needs to do to keep a job.
