  1. Willie Harris is officially a Cubs killer WOO
  2. I still don't feel like our chances are that bad but still 6 runs to the Nationals wow
  3. Welp good job Cotts and Marquis I really don't want to lose another series to this team
  4. YES WALK EVERYONE I WANT TO WALK PLAYERS ALL THE TIME THATS ALL I WANT TO DO
  5. Of all this, I have to say the walk to Cristian Guzman is the most offensive
  6. Why does it have to be so hard, Marquis? Against the worst team in the majors?
  7. 2 well struck balls that inning that fortunately went for outs Maybe my hope for Marquis isn't going to do much for us
  8. God damnit, Marquis was cruising and by gummit he looked like he has a bit of a swagger and now some lame ass contact and 2 base runners
  9. He's saving it for late September and October. I'm just happy that he seems to have some weird plate discipline come back to him from 2006
  10. Wouldn't that be poetic? Our worst pitcher (although he's really not that bad, but clearly the worst) pitches a no hitter for us in the middle of this magical season?
  11. Lee running had nothing to do with Ramirez striking out. What are you talking about? This may be true, but was the Theriot K on a hit and run? I didn't see what that was all about. Regardless I'm not a fan of running with our roster very much.
  12. ATTN: Lou, please stop it with this creative baserunning crap. It got two of our better hitters who rarely strike out to strike out and its just stupid and playing craps with a pitcher we should clobber regardless. Don't do it. Don't do it in the playoffs. Stop it.
  13. Except there are plenty of players that hit both righties and lefties well, and some players (Cedeno) that have reverse splits? Also most teams don't have the roster space to field enough players to do it. Its great in certain situations with exaggerated splits like Johnson and Edmonds, but the rest of our players mash lefties and righties equally. (Or at least our offense as a whole has anyway, this isn't the 2007 Cubs who flailed uselessly against lefties most of the year)
  14. I guess we can't ever get a sizable lead because the Brewers will continue to win God I hate them
  15. What do you mean "once fielder is gone", Prince is very young and you guys would be wise to hold on to him. If you lose Sabathia, Sheets and Fielder, you wont be the force to be reckoned with for the next few years that I thought you'd be
  16. Hahahah I sort of have the same problem, except I'm working tonight
  17. That's how I feel about the playoffs, too. But, then again, the other team's fans should be twice as worried about running into our high-powered offense, dominant starting pitching, and shut-down setup man/closer. Thinking about it from the D-backs perspective, they really should be afraid of us. Their offense is still in flux, even with the acquisition of Dunn, and they don't have that many dependable hitters. The pitching, well, we all know the story on that, but we've been able to get to them a little this year...usually at home. #-o Of course none of our pitchers can figure out that you should never throw a strike to Chris Young. I feel like I'm watching other teams playing against Soriano, STOP THROWING THE GUY STRIKES
  18. It's not as fun to check BP playoffs report every day like it was last year. We'd have crazy swings of like 7-10% every day depending on what happened.
  19. Parra/Billingsly Bush/Lowe Suppan/Kershaw Nice. Those are pretty favorable matchups for the Dodgers. Dodgers have a tough lineup too Ethier Kemp Kent Manny Loney Martin Nomah Casey Blake Juan Pierre off the bench. This will be nice test for the Brewers after everyone saying how unbeatable they are after going 8-2 against 3 of the worst teams in history. What's really great is: A. They're facing a team with more than one major league starting pitcher B. They're facing a lineup that'll be able to hit that crap the Brewers call a bullpen (one can rave all they wish about these unbeatable Brewers but, when you've got Solomon Torres as your closer you're going to have problems) C. The Dodgers miss Sabathia and Sheets D. Its at Dodger Stadium
  20. Yeah honestly, do Lou and Hendry watch the games, or just oggle at his low walk total? He doesn't make a single bat miss. Every out he does get is usually a liner that is barely caught. The guy is just being slapped around and his OPS against is over 1.000. Its time to either stow him away forever and not put him on the play off roster, or just outright DFA him. He isn't fulfilling his job as a baseball player, and I don't see anyway he can fix his problems. Not with the repertoire he is currently using.
