Arguing about who should lead off is akin to arguing what color sprinkles you want on your ice cream Soriano coming back makes our offense scary good, whether he leads off or bats 9th. It puts 8 hitters in the lineup every day that are all, at the very least, competent hitters, which is incredible.

Yeah, we're trotting out a fairly punchless (for the Cubs) lineup against possibly the best pitcher in the National League (no its not an intra-squad game :-" ) Surprise me, Cubs. Please tell me Reed is in Center as opposed to Edmonds EDIT: Eurgh why does Lou insist on playing the defensively challenged Edmonds over Reed in Center?

I'm glad I went to work and missed most of the 5 run lead blowing by Marmol You gotta take him out after it becomes 7-5, jesus Oh well ,we win, and Marmol gets some much needed rest. I hope this is the last straw for Lou and he starts using Marmol less, but not Mike-Wuertz-less. This is 8000000x better than the loss when Wood was pitching against the Cardinals, so theres that.

Not really fair to keep him in the rotation over someone who is better and a lefty (while Lou has expressed a desire to have at least 2 in the rotation) The only real reason is because he's making 7 million dollars, which makes me gag

i know his dad posts here, but come on. Didn't Maddux throw a gem in his first game as a dodger? I'm assuming (hoping) thats what he meant, that Gallagher would have a really good debut. If thats the case, I'll be rooting for him anyway. Didn't he have a crazy streak of like 10 games without a walk?
