    Somewhat misleading. Teams that get runners on base will hit into more DPs, but they also will score more runs. The reason teams aren't GIDPs against us isn't because we aren't inducing ground balls, its because they rarely have had runners on

    I don't know if their acquisition of Griffey makes them better or worse He's not what he once was defensively or offensively, and they will play him in CF. They might have gotten the same production from Brian Anderson if they showed any dedication to him.

    I got nothing to complain about with his management this series, other than perhaps keeping Dempster out there for 110+ pitches yesterday. Not a huge deal, he's shown he can handle it.

    I've considered making this claim already today, but the 5-game series against the Cards in September 03 still has it for me. This is pretty flippin sweet though. I don't really remember a significantly important series last year like this, although I remember a late series against the Reds with a couple of walk offs that really helped us

    Edmonds has raised his OPS this year combined with the Padres and Cubs to .788 Pretty incredible.
