Michigan crumbling as a top tier program is hilarious and also somewhat tragic its not as fun when the villain has his teeth pulled out I'll give more of a [expletive] though if Illinois shows any signs of trying to play football competitively on a year-in-year-out basis

I would love Liuget on the team, a good friend of mine was a tutor of his while we were in school, he was a straight dude. He also is good at football, and pairing him up with Peppers would give us one destructive defensive line. But if anyone has a brain we have to go offense with almost every pick in this draft

college football would be better if they paid the players a moderate stipend, there was a playoff and their rankings didn't matter but thats what we have to deal with and it'll never change, and thats also where 99% of all the moaning and groaning comes from They didn't vacate USC's championship because of the Reggie Bush stuff right? Also technically does the NCAA have any power to even do that? They literally do not crown a champion in the sport. Thats all the BCS and the AP that decides the 'mythical national champion' anyway.

let em have their day (week) in the sun, they aint winning on Sunday. I expect this defense to have a field day, and I expect the offense to be a lot better. -
my buddy used to call him 'Moose Droppings' for his stone hands and thought it was soooo clever, but I always did one of these :roll: when he did it This is missing the point though; Moose was a tremendous waste of money and opportunity, yet I would love to have is 2005-2006 self on this team, he'd be exactly someone Cutler would love.

all the bears fans I know focus on the gould kick but that wasn't that important to me because, perhaps i'm delusional, i already considered it a forgone conclusion because its robbie gould and he is the best guy ever the play that i remember the most in that game is right before it when grossman hit rashied davis for a 30 yard gain or so. that year was the pinnacle of rashied davis' career as he was good for one insane clutch 30 yard catch (but only one!) every game. now he sucks. i also remember hester broke one but it was called back for some bullcrap penalty. don't call phantom holding this time!

no matter how good they look or how much momentum they have or whatever, every team should want to play the seahawks because they are the least talented team in the playoffs this isn't a slight to any seahawsk fan or any sort of shaking of my fist at the football gods because obviously its football and anyone can win on any day, but they are just not a very good team. so even if they do go on a mini run and take out the bears too, and they very likely can because the bears have a horrible offensive line, can turn the ball over, and just plain can lose a game to any team in the league, you still want to play them. but i do understand the desire to see a packers-bears superbowl just for the [expletive] spectacle of it all, because christ, the city would explode (and then instantly deflate when rodgers cuts us up for 400 yards)

Seems like that horseshoe is still wedged firmly up Lovie's butt, can't complain. Really no excuse to lose this one, even considering the early season loss, the offensive line is worlds better and with Briggs we wont be giving up 41 points like the Saints. I hope we see a repeat of the Minnesota games, but we'll probably see a repeat of the Lions games. I'll take it either way. -
You never have to root for anyone. Just enjoy football. :) Its not like either outcome influences anything for your team in the short or long term. I used to be upset by the absurd amount of love Sanchez gets for being what is pretty much a below average quarterback, but now I kinda enjoy it as some absurd Kafkaesque nightmare world where nothing makes any sense, and Brett Favre plays for the next 20 years.

Actually he kinda owns. I don't know if the NFL really replaced the 'football move' thing with anything specific but its certainly gone now. This has been discussed a while back. http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/fumble http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/forwardpass The Calvin Johnson play had nothing to do with making a football move or anything, it had to do with keeping control as he went to the ground, and even with that rule I still think it was miscalled.

I see Seattle draws from the same script the Bears do. Them doing nothing on offense (even literally taking nothing off the clock!) is a patented Bears move. This isn't a rule anymore.

This game RULES That was an astoudingly poor decision to go for it there and they very well might lose because of it This game is amazing as both a Bears fan and as a Seahawks supporter Don't get caught in that thinking. Whatever team we facewill have beaten someone so would have a mystique of "holy crap they're on a roll and have momentum!!!". They may very well beat us, but they are also the worst team in the playoffs and would be a great blessing to face again.

That's pretty impressive. That said, I hope they lose by 8 points or more. Think bigger picture, we could play the Seahawks again, lets not pass up this opportunity
