  1. We're all missing the point here What we should be talking about is how incredible it is that Todd Collins got paid 1 million dollars to be by far the worst quarterback I've ever seen play football. This includes Henry Burris, Chad Hutchinson and Jonathon Quinn
  2. That mustache was hilariously awful
  3. Well its a good thing we got the Cubs to look forward to, right guys? Guy?
  4. I hope that neither Lovie nor anyone else gets an extension, stays on for another year, we draft some offensive line/buy someone in free agency, get a big receiver, and do nothing for the defense because we have neither the time nor the money or picks to help it, and see what happens next year.
  5. I don't want to come off as a whiner of the officiating, because I universally hate fans that complain about officiating in losing games, but there was some damn big momentum shifting calls and they pretty [expletive] bad I think I'm most upset about the phantom holding on (Chester Taylor?) when we were getting a drive going There should be no excuse for not mounting any offense before and after that of course
  6. They didn't really blitz Hanie, when they did, he threw two picks
  7. About the playcall: Say we convert on 3rd and 4th down. Say we even manage somehow to score another TD, are we still winning in overtime (Now that just a field goal doesn't suffice)? Game was still technically in doubt but the game was lost long beforehand. Yeah, because that Packer offense was just moving up and down the field... Well, my bet is they wake up and start moving the ball better than we do in overtime and we're not playing a mostly prevent non-blitzing defense

  9. If you told me yesterday that Rodgers would have a 50ish QB Rating and we lost I... well it still would have made sense to me actually.
  10. I also liked the guy tripping Olsen up leading to a "intentional ground" Sports to me have turned into whatever the media really wants, the better story wins out unless the other team is just so good the officials can't sway the game. I'm not paranoid enough to feel this way, but the front office and coaching staff have to learn to build teams based on how the game is officiated nowadays. I'm embarrassed that the quick hitting slants and such was only busted out as the game was out of reach. We should have been doing that all day long, like the Packers were doing (When Rodgers was completing passes) The league doesn't want you playing defense. So build some good offenses.
  11. Maynard was fine all year, but he did not have it today. He was bad against Carolina in 2006 too. Actually he had no leg all year. He was decent at pinning people back but he has no distance on punts anymore, and hasn't for several years.

  13. The coaching was clearly not there, obviously. But we were also clearly the less talented team out there as well, and we've been overperforming our talent level all season. I understand the desire for some more outlandish offensive playcalling but it just wasn't the right kind of outlandish playcalling.
  14. Well this game was weird as hell. Played about as poorly as we could and to keep it this close. Defense played its heart out. Hanie gave us a weird spark at the end. Ugh. Cannot wait to hear the endless sports callers calling for Hanie as the starter.
  15. That punter is probably player of the game, he's had us pinned all game Not that we'd do the ball if you gave it to us on the Packer 35 every drive anyway
  16. Don't worry the Packers will probably score again and people will rag on the defense for no good reason
  17. Our chances of winning the game increase dramatically if Caleb Hanie is in instead of Todd Collins from .7% to 1.4%
  18. is Cutler really injured? is this serious or did he freak out in the lockerroom and Lovie think he's sending a message by benching him or something I thought we all realized Todd Collins wasn't an NFL quality player about 10 weeks ago
  19. Um what Please let this not be a repeat of the Super Bowl
  20. Had a nightmare we lost 9-6, then inside the same nightmare the score changed somehow to 26-20 (also us losing) I really need to stop caring about sports so much if they are invading my dreams
  21. there have been 4-5 devin hester kick returns called back on phantom holding penalties, i'm fine with them letting a really minuscule one slide
  22. I guess it shows you exactly how good LBJ was to that team. He probably has a bigger impact when surrounded by role players, but he still looks damn good with 2 other all-stars on his team. On a side note, anyone know if Boozer is going to play tonight? No doubt, as does the Heat losing by 30 the night after losing LeBron. He's a spectacular player and a talent which is hard to measure. He, Dwight and Kobe are such gamechangers its ridiculously hard to figure out how good the rest of their teammates are in a vaccuum. All I know is this year has proven that LeBron is light years ahead of Wade and Bosh, its incredible. And if LeBron gets the Peyton Manning treatment (and he has been getting it already, as amusing as it is) it will make the whole situation all the more absurd and insane.
  23. i can't help but be paranoid about the lottery and what franchises get once in a lifetime players. once in a lifetime talent going to a franchise thats kind of meandering and has the potential and has been one of the most if not most profitable nba franchise? if im stern i sure do think about nudging them in the right direction.
  24. i was thinking about it and if we win on sunday it may be the most satisfying win i've gotten to enjoy in all of professional sports ever i was a little too young and not super into basketball for the jordan years, except for the tail end of the second threepeat the cubs go without saying the 2006 nfc championship was pretty fulfilling, especially with this http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-ash1/v62/69/118/1949429/n1949429_35068936_5628.jpg but i had that horrible dread knowing what peyton manning was going to do to us later on
  25. Exactly. NFL Network blows the [expletive] out of whatever coverage is on ESPN. I'm sorry Xsport doesn't carry NFL Network? What I was saying before about the dedicated reporter thing for Chicago on ESPN was there isn't any guy like Ed Werder, who literally will show up any time something Brett Favre or Green Bay related pops up. There isn't any that guy for Chicago. I don't much care, it just surprises me they don't have one for Chicago. I didn't make that clear. I'm not trying to be all 'ARGH SECOND CITY' but Chicago really is an afterthought most of the time. Thanks for the ESPN website I guess. While there is some truth that you can fill a 3-4 scheme with some easy-to-find players and field a surprisingly competent defense...Clay Matthews doesn't belong in that category.
