  1. I swear to god, and I'm not saying this to cover up a typo, but my keyboard has been falling apart lately. You can tell because half the time I don't use caps at all (the shift key on the left side has died completely so if I want to capitalize something I have to shift from right side, which is awkward)
  2. This is a crap game thats motivating me to go to the gym so its at least doing something good
  3. It doesn't help when Rose drives the lane and 3 Jazz players make contact across his arms and no foul is called. Yeah I made a post about that. Anyway Thibs, stop putting out this Brewer/Watson/Korver/Gibson/Asik lineup if you want a 'spark' because it has zero offensive capability i just reverse jinxed it btw
  4. Well done Bulls, you've managed to flub an 8 point lead into a 2 point deficit by scoring 0 points for the last however many minutes. Everyones been complaining about the defense but honestly I wish Thibs would be more irate over the wasted possessions too. Its one thing to be lazy on the defensive end but they are just damn stupid offensively on this trip so far.
  5. Well if they aren't going to call a foul on that play I have no interest in watching this game
  6. Fielder is also significantly worse and fat. I know he lost a ton of weight in the off-season but its still something to worry about. BTW, it would be hilarious if the Cards were forced to trade him a la John Santana because they know they can't re-sign him
  7. seemed like every play in the last 5 minutes portland just dropped it off to aldridge in the post and we couldn't do anything about it need noah back
  8. As beautiful as it would be to see him leave St. Louis I'm just not seeing that many options for him to go to. The usual suspects all have DH/1b types locked up (Yankees, Red Sox) we are shedding payroll and the new ownership may not be enthused with us adding another gigundo contract on top of the ones we're currently suffering under, the Mets suddenly have no money, the Dodgers are going through ownership woes of their own, the White Sox/Tigers have their 1b/DH locked up, maybe the Angels when they're not giving [expletive] contracts to old/bad outfielders? (Kendry Morales is pretty good and young though) Seattle would have an opening, I have no idea how much money they can spend? San Fransisco too? I can't think of any other team that has the money and opening to sign him.
  9. We're 24-6 vs teams below .500 and 23-4 at home (we'd have home court advantage). So no, I'm not the least bit concerned about our first round matchup. I'd prefer not to play the Knicks, especially if they have Melo by then. But even if we do, I would not be worried at all as long as our team is healthy. If they get Melo then we'd probably not be seeded against them (thankfully)
  10. Honestly even if this meme were true he could still be deserving
  11. Not gonna lie, the Bulls struggle offensively when you double DRose
  12. I dont even understand how they are possibly down 15 right now have they scored 5 points since taking the 11 point lead? Jesus Christ what
  13. This makes me really happy I thought this was never going to happen so this is a pleasant surprise
  14. Ben Roethislberger is Schrodinger's Quarterback. He's simultaneously overrated and underrated and you can only find out if you open the box
  15. Boers and Bernstein use the term 'meatballs' exclusively and I find it somewhat preferable to meathead now
  16. Nice. Solid line drive percentage reinforces the fact that he wasn't just pulling a smoke and mirrors act.
  17. The team will be absolutely phenomenal defensively when Noah comes back. Thibodeau's coaching has been excellent this year, taking what amounts to a bunch of what has been average or worse defenders and making them perhaps the best in the league. (Aside from Noah and Deng, who have been good defensively) I love and I hate that Thibodeau is a complete hard ass. I like that he gets absolutely furious when the Bulls give up an easy basket, or completely blow an assignment. He's like a Scott Skiles, but with better results. But i worry he'll burn out some of the players, especially with some of the minutes he's giving Rose...and sometimes that attitude in general can just wear on players after a while. Cannot wait for the playoffs.
  18. I really prefer when teams use their 'colored' jerseys at home and their white jerseys on the road. It just seems 'right' to me, other than say some teams where its ingrained in the culture, like the Redskins and their white uniforms. Its kind of a shame that the Bulls wear their whites at home and their reds/alternates on the road. Also please never wear the old school Stags alternates every again, whooo boy those are ugly.
  19. I thought Quade's syndrome left him unable to grow any hair on his head at all. That would include facial hair. Because if I could grow any hair, I'd definitely get down on growing some eyebrows first, and thats the most strikingly missing thing on his head.
  20. It also remains to be seen what we get from 2b (if anything at all) and if Starlin Castro will have a sophomoric slump. Was his BABIP unusually high last year? We'll see how much pitchers adjust to him and how well he, in turn, adjusts to them.
  21. Agreed. Turn them into the Schaumburg Cubs so they're more easily available for me to watch in person.
  22. He's not really a coach.
  23. He hits him lower? Is this a trick question? Well hitting him too low is also a penalty. He's also in a throwing motion and you'd like to be able to disrupt that as you make the tackle. Maybe you hit him as fast but you also let him have a clean throwing window. That's taking away from the defender. The idea that you can safen the game by cleaning up dirty hits only and not by taking away a defender's chance to make the play in the fastest possible way in certain cases is a complete fiction. It's a sport played with forward body lean by both defenders and offensive players and it's inevitable that helmet to helmet plays occur when all a defender is trying to do is make a play in the shortest amount of time. I'm not disputing at all that it's a flag by the book. it's leading with the helmet and hitting another guy in the helmet. you can lunge at the quarterback and hit him pretty much anywhere else except for in the head. Well, though I haven't seen it called in a game I've watched, I'm pretty sure there is some rule about rolling into a guys knees after what happened to Carson Palmer and Tom Brady in successive years
  24. I don't really think the schedule is that tough. It's just tougher than what it's been lately. Asider from Utah and New Orleans the really tough games are at home and the Bulls can beat anyone at the UC. Well its not really immensely tough but its also mostly on the road and we've been pretty ordinary on the road, despite the pretty good road trip earlier in the year
  25. Pass on Casey Matthews until he gets the same 'doctor' as Clay
