    You know what I love about this Cubs team: 1-8 in this lineup every single player has my full confidence at bat

    Sure that's technically possible, but it's unlikely, less likely than any other pitcher (including Cardinals ones) melting down. There's a reason pepole are confident. I don't want any walk offs, I want completely drama-free poundings for every game, honestly. Just win by 6 or 7 runs comfortably by the 5th inning.

Then he continued being Bob Gibson. By the way, for Game of Thrones fans out there, Anthony Rizzo definitely gave us a Jaime Lannister-ism. When asked about how the Cubs haven't clinched a playoff series in Wrigley in however many years, he said "there's never been a team like us before"

    God, Arrieta probably already is in the pantheon of great Cubs pitching seasons and he can keep stacking up achievements. Shut em down baby Pound the Cardinals

    With 4 games left against the Lions and Vikings and agains an assortment of mediocre and bad teams, it's not ridiculous to imagine the Bears going on a run. But damn, this was a talent poor team even before the injuries, and they've really taken a toll. I'll be watching the games for more than scouting players, at least.

    While I think it's a crap play and should be illegal, that rule only covers a fielder trying to field a batted ball, not catching a throw. If the rule is going to be that toothless, it needs to be changed (I have hope it will be this off-season, but as resistant to change the MLB is, I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't) Has anyone even seen this rule enforced at all since it was implemented? I haven't
