  1. how can Soler looks so so bad at times and so so smart and with a good eye others
  2. I'm in the south loop and it's looking like the rain gods are coming so let's get this thing going
  3. Or that Wrigley is playing more like a hitters park this year than last year. (Which would make sense given that Wrigley bizarrely played as a pitchers park last year for the first time I can remember) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/fun-with-early-season-park-factors/ Wrigley has been pitcher-friendly so far this year. The second most pitcher friendly park in the league this year so far, amazing Kyle Hendricks crosses himself and thanks the baseball gods

  5. That's probably the worst lineup they've run out this year (still obviously quite potent), and insult to injury, it's for Lester who seems to get the worst luck with run support. So they'll win 9-1
  6. I don't feel any animus towards the White Sox but I'm enjoying their fall from grace because, in a totally petty and selfish way, I don't want the Cubs to have to share the spotlight with anyone this summer, especially to a dead-ass team like the White Sox that isn't *actually* any good. The Mat Latos thing was annoying, and now its done. Bye bye White Sox.
  7. Punish the Phillies for their impertinence against the 2015 Cubs. The peripherals look bad Phillies...you're about to come to Earth, and the Cubs are the instrument of your regression
  8. It's amazing how I can have a great memory for specific games but I've blanked out random players that may or may not have been notable for various reasons. Like, I literally forgot Koyie Hill existed until he was brought up earlier, and I totally forgot about Randy Wells and his 1 good season with us even though he was apparently still in the league in 2012.
  9. Hahaha, any concerns about this team should be put to rest with these numbers. They added to their run differential with a bad week. That's obscene.
  10. Hahahaha Poor NPC, you don't have to deal with it, come to our side
  11. Thank goodness. A win, a series win, the souls of the Cardinals stolen away. In the end not even that big of a deal in the grand scheme of the Cubs fortunes, but really nice to close it out, against all odds. Glad we could get Jake another W too
  12. I like when he starts slowing his speech down and you're like "oh man, the game is over for sure"
  13. how do we get just like a nice 1-2-3 inning, that feels like a herculean task that no one can possibly do on this team right now
  14. I don't even know Wood has been infuriating this year so far
  15. oohhhhhh I thought that was really good and it was only kinda bad
  16. I'm so so so so so done with La Stella at third
  17. is there gonna be a single god damn 1-2-3 inning? or does every single time have to be a white knuckle garbage [expletive] i'm just complaining to complain now
  18. Alright, well, I'm sorry to small woodland creatures, but a sacrifice must be made
