  1. I am pretty close to preferring him starting over Miggy. And I had a similar hatred of him last year. They're a fine platoon because Ross, as nice as his bat has looked this year, still struggles mightily against right handed pitching, and he probably can't keep this up healthwise as a starter.
  2. I never thought I'd feel so good about David Ross after resenting his entire existence last year (because I'm a bad guy). He's been so much fun this year, and what a good dude. What an amazing swan song for his career.
  3. I'm the idiot who says this and then Javy has a good at bat and gets good wood on the ball the second time today
  4. If I was a pitcher facing Javy in an inning where there's already been a home run hit, I would throw absolutely nothing close to the plate and feel fairly sure I'd get an out
  5. I can only tell from Pat but it sounds like Russell has *just* missed like hitting 3 doubles already
  6. Come on just give poor Lester an easy inning yall
  7. :| can't we get some wind blowing out again??
  8. Ok I fully despise this "Galvis" person now He needs to be destroyed
  9. I would demand runs in response but we lead off Lester in the inning and everything past 1-3 in the order are gonna be...interesting
  10. I can't wait for the highlight of that double error because the box score summary of it make it sound like an unfun circus
  11. I don't like the other team getting so many hits Especially when they're a bad hitting team
  12. I'm pretty ok with it considering their pitcher came up with 2 on and 2 out last inning
  13. thanks for batting your pitcher 8th right now
  14. how can Soler looks so so bad at times and so so smart and with a good eye others
  15. I'm in the south loop and it's looking like the rain gods are coming so let's get this thing going
  16. Or that Wrigley is playing more like a hitters park this year than last year. (Which would make sense given that Wrigley bizarrely played as a pitchers park last year for the first time I can remember) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/fun-with-early-season-park-factors/ Wrigley has been pitcher-friendly so far this year. The second most pitcher friendly park in the league this year so far, amazing Kyle Hendricks crosses himself and thanks the baseball gods
  17. Or that Wrigley is playing more like a hitters park this year than last year. (Which would make sense given that Wrigley bizarrely played as a pitchers park last year for the first time I can remember)
  18. That's probably the worst lineup they've run out this year (still obviously quite potent), and insult to injury, it's for Lester who seems to get the worst luck with run support. So they'll win 9-1
