LMAO amazing. Also a little depressing. Get better soon, Riz. He's had a .210 BABIP and peripherally all his stats are about the same (though his line drive percentage is a little lower than usual, but his medium and hard hit contact are higher) His lower WAR also comes from the defensive stats hating him which I kinda sorta don't trust with Anthony because I think he's pretty good from just my eye test? I dunno maybe thats just the fan in me and my bias

I am pretty close to preferring him starting over Miggy. And I had a similar hatred of him last year. They're a fine platoon because Ross, as nice as his bat has looked this year, still struggles mightily against right handed pitching, and he probably can't keep this up healthwise as a starter.

I never thought I'd feel so good about David Ross after resenting his entire existence last year (because I'm a bad guy). He's been so much fun this year, and what a good dude. What an amazing swan song for his career.

If I was a pitcher facing Javy in an inning where there's already been a home run hit, I would throw absolutely nothing close to the plate and feel fairly sure I'd get an out

I would demand runs in response but we lead off Lester in the inning and everything past 1-3 in the order are gonna be...interesting
