  1. Javy seems to be regressing and it's really upsetting
  2. Even in some hypothetical reality where Heyward gets to that ball, he likely has to dive, get up, and then get an accurate throw to home to keep the runner on 3rd from scoring. It's far from certain we stop the run from scoring. I also can't expect any player to complete an inside the park home run on a relatively shallow ball hit down the line that's misplayed. It just...is a completely and totally uncommon, difficult play. I don't think we had a single inside the parker this year.
  3. yeah i can't really blame Soler for not getting an inside the park home run on what looked like a foul ball off the bat. He doesn't have the best wheels anyway and that would have been an absurd play, though I was rooting for it We just didn't get enough balls to drop today. We can get mad about this or that play but we got what, 2 hits off Tomlin? It's kind of unacceptable. And I'm surprised Montero absolutely cranking a line drive right at a dude isn't getting more attention. That would have been the lead right there.
  4. Santana in LF after only playing 4 innings in the outfield his professional career is really gonna be a treat
  5. Soler's been bad in the postseason but he's not like some complete total lost cause that doesn't know how to hold a bat
  6. This guy only K's 6 dudes per 9 and he gives up a home run on flyballs at a 17% rate and the wind is blowing out at record levels? Good effin luck my friend
  7. I'm ok with whatever happens in this crazy wind environment EXCEPT if that bum Roberto Perez gets some more wind aided homers
  8. well according to rob neyer the only solution is to trade rizzo I see.
  9. I guess the pill to swallow is that with average, or even above average, luck, you're going to have at least one major injury, or one major underperformance by some player. It's probably unreasonable to expect Schwarber and Heyward to be healthy and every other player to not only stay healthy, but excel in performance. Aside from them pretty much everyone gave you what you expected, or better. Maybe next year they'll both be back at 100% power, but like, Javy will have a bad year, or Rizzo will run into awful BABIP luck that lasts months, or *something* What I'm saying is, Heyward ritually sacrificed his baseball soul for this team
  10. I guess the only annoying thing is people assuming that Schwarber has no future on this team and will HAVE to be traded sometime soon. I don't think anything like that is in play. Theo and Jed want him on this team, and I actually have full confidence he can play a manageable (perhaps slightly under average) left field. He's on this team for the forseeable future.
  11. Schwarber always seems a little confused and shy in interviews i feel like in the back of his mind there's a constant voice saying "hit baseballs...smash baseballs...is this guy asking me about playing the field? I dunno I just wanna smoke baseballs"
  12. That was a very productive inning, though additional runs would have been very nice.
  13. Kluber would be the only one to go twice on short rest Maybe he meant we'll be facing mediocre starters on short rest twice Yes, thats precisely what I meant
  14. I dont get why the Indians don't go with 1 bullpen game instead of sending their already mediocre starters out there on 3 days rest TWICE Kluber I understand but...Tomlin and Bauer? Huh. I hope they get punished for their foolishness
  15. Quick, lock Baez into a room with that machine for 13,000 pitches over the off-season
