    If Schwarber even gets a sole PH appearance I would completely lose my horsefeathers And imagine how good that would feel for Kyle, missing all the unbelievable action of this season but getting to bat in the horsefeathering WORLD SERIES

    I'm laughing because I didn't even know Brian Hoyer broke his arm until someone on the Score said it at an hour update. Things can't possibly get worse for the Bears, its hilarious

    If we win Saturday, I'm definitely going to head over to Wrigleyville to soak in the crowds and the drunken stupidity. I also just heard Hughes' call of Russell's home run and its....very strange. I've never heard him drop his voice and just kinda monotone say "Goooone" like he did there. Whoever in the gamethread said it sounded like he was saying "Dong", which I like.

    I agree. I've actually been a little annoyed by how the Cubs have talked up Kershaw to this point. Anyone else notice this? Bosio even called it a David vs Goliath matchup this morning. Well all of it is warranted. He's the greatest pitcher of this generation, and will finish as one of the greatest of all time. And he pitched marvelously the last time he was in Wrigley (though, was about 10 feet away from being a loser). All of that matters more to me than whatever handful of bad playoff starts he's had. I think we can get to him, but he's the best pitcher in the postseason still.

    The 2016 playoffs have pretty much cemented Javy getting a starter's job in the majors hasn't it? What an amazing playoffs for him

    I was totally baffled by this, why would anyone take a pitcher out when they're facing the opposing pitcher? Though, maybe Roberts was seeing what we saw, and that Addison and Ross both saw like 10 straight balls but somehow got themselves out despite it I just want to give some appreciation to Jon Lester, who's been nothing short of fantastic since coming to the Cubs. He doesn't really demand too much attention giving how great he's been, and he's been so horsefeathering great. NLCS MVP for sure if they can finish this out. :hello:

    I was actually thinking similarly during the Game 3 loss, but I was like "thank god we have theo and he's smart enough not to overreact to how bad we've looked against two lefties." The thing I've thought is "Man, I wish we had more than 1 lefty starter" against the Dodgers, but I'm assuming Montgomery is gonna get a good chance at starting for us next year so that would solve that

    I can't believe how many people (fans, the media, etc) that really want Kershaw pitching tonight. You want to throw him on 3 days rest (he gets full 5 days rest if you push him one more game) on the off-chance he can maybe throw relief in a game 7 that might not happen? What? This isn't even an elimination game - its totally bonkers to me.

    I thought before this game "well if we win it's 2-2 and it's a best of 3 and we get home field advantage" and it helped me contextualize the game. And then we won like THIS and Rizzo and Russell get very healthy. Feels good man.
