    Wow, the Bears defense may well not exist. Absolutely embarrassing. Wasn’t close to causing an incompletion at any point.

    Literally can't believe it but the leading receiver after 4 games is Darnell Mooney with EIGHT receptions The Bears have had 136 rushing attempts so far and 34 completed passes lmao They can't continue playing like this, this isn't professional football

    Oh woof, I thought this and the Commanders game were flip flopped. The Commanders are one of the few teams that may actually be worse than us, and we're gonna get them on short rest, that sucks. 3 out of the next 4 games also on the road, which is the *softer* part of the schedule. Things could get ugly folks.

    A couples days later and watching his plays again, I'm also feeling more positively about Fields's play. It wasn't *good* but it wasn't as catastrophic as the previous week, and it is very clear what little he's working with out there. I'm really just upset the front office gave him such a horrible offensive line and receiving corps when this is a really important year for a QB's development. He's got 13 more games playing with this roster and it's really just not fair to him. Or to the coaching staff, to evaluate him.

    This is way down the list of concerns but I really don’t like the way Eberflus is making calls on important inflection point moments - punting while down 8 with 3 minutes remaining, and such. This kind of horsefeathers is outrageously conservative and doesn’t fit with the modern NFL. Will be the kinds of decisions that would hold back a team when/if we become competitive. Also running on 3rd and 3 in the red zone, a move that only makes sense if you’re committed to going for it on 4th down. That game call probably comes down to the OC, however. But the overall philosophy…woof I hate it.

    Incredible. Absolutely not blaming Fields for this completely, but this is not acceptable for a pro team, even the worst team in the league.

    The talent on the team is bad and the coaching is outrageously conservative but I don't think we need to sugarcoat it: Fields is playing very poorly and not getting better (and in some aspects, getting worse) You can evaluate a player while acknowledging the poor talent around him. His footwork has gotten worse, his accuracy has gotten worse, he's doing a lot of three quarter arm angle throws for some reason, he's not confidently finding people downfield, he's stepping into pressure, he's making all sorts of mistakes. It's obvious if you're watching. Not calling him a bust yet and I think it makes sense to just give him the keys to the car and let him play out the rest of the season, but woof. It's bad out there.

    Losing Montgomery is a real blow. I love Herbert but I don't think he can take a full load the way Montgomery could, and Ebner did not impress me. I would love to see Fields get 20+ pass attempts. Wonder if we can achieve that on Sunday.

    I like the all navy blue uniforms but they are genuinely cursed and they lose like every time they wear them. Their regulation uniforms are very good. Most of the alternates are pretty weak.

    No, he’s not putting on the worst performance of any QB expecting to be good. As said, Bad Rex was significantly worse. Bad Cutler was worse too, for that matter. Bad Orton (not the same expectations but he finished with a respectable career) was worse. He’s been bad and he’s trending worse, but we also have to have our bearings because it’s been two weeks. Settle down.

    Well it’s good that he has a pretty good attitude about it. Still not feeling super enthused though.

    Yeah I’ve never ever felt bad about a win before but this is probably the worst I’ve felt after one. Completely uninspiring, Fields looks like he took a step back, we’re not in the running for anything, coaching staff being horrifically conservative. Not great.
