  1. My only trepidation with all the positivity and excitement from the media with Fields is now it feels like they're going to set people's expectations too high and when he has a bad game or two (which is inevitable) people will flip all the more on him. But whatever, I don't think anything super bad is gonna happen. Keep building off positive experiences and develop.
  2. I'd like to see a win as well, and I don't think it will jeopardize the draft position too much. You gotta learn how to win a little bit and you gotta keep the players motivated, and it would be fun to give Fields a reason to celebrate a bit more.
  3. I just re-watched the highlights and the difference between the Eddie Jackson "PI" call and the non-call for Claypool is absolutely wild. And there was a reff RIGHT THERE on the play. I will say it....it was not an impossible catch for Claypool. It would have been a very very difficult one, but he did have his hands on it, despite the flagrant interference. It's the kind of thing that makes people get conspiratorial but it's really just inconsistent incompetence.
  4. Yeah I think its wrong to say the offense almost doesn't need to be upgraded. Yes, they can absolutely move the ball and score effectively with this offense, but it puts Fields at much more physical risk and it makes it very hard to come back if you're behind late. This is a very ball control offense, lots of runs, lots of 6+ minute long drives. That's great if you're ahead, its less good if you're behind. I expect for the rest of the season they're gonna continue with some variation of this offense and thats good and appropriate. But a more dynamic offense is possible. One thats more sustainable and maintains Fields' health and doesn't rely entirely on his out-of-this-world athleticism, which wont last forever. If he runs this effectively he's bought himself a few years to fine tweak his passing, which is great.
  5. At this point the only game I really care about winning is that Packers game at home. They need to find a way to win that, lol
  6. Fields wasnt fantastic in the last two drives, but he had that deep ball where it needed to be and the refs missed an obvious call and St Brown missed a routine catch. He’s balling. It would be nice if he didn’t rely on his feet so much, but they’re giving it to him and he’s athletic enough to do it. Can’t be mad about that.
  7. Woof, terrible play by Fields, lets hope they offset
  8. I don't understand. The Bears....are getting the ball? And the Dolphins didn't score? Is that within the rules?
  9. THEY DID IT THEY FORCED A 4TH DOWN (when the QB falls over and......the Dolphins are definitely in 4 down territory)
  10. I'm loving it. I have no emotional attachment to them winning so it doesn't bother me. I'm mostly having a blast. This series was a bit of a shame. That hold pretty much ruined everything. A low throw to Claypool as well to make a more manageable 3rd down.
  11. Justin Fields is a fuckin star, I wont hear nothing else
  12. Oh my god Aaron Rodgers He may be the worst QB in the division right now. Never thought I'd say that.
  13. I give the bears approximately a 15% chance to stop Miami on a 3rd and 15
  14. They forced an incompletion!!! Guys!!! Raise the flag!!!
  15. The worse the Bears defense gets the more powerful I become
  16. Yes, I do believe the Bears have an offense.
  17. Oh lol you think I said they were close to a championship. Not at all. I said they are *closer* than two weeks ago, which I stand by with quite a bit of confidence!
  18. Wrong. They’re closer to a championship than they were 2 weeks ago. I couldn’t care less if they set records for futility on defense. They finally have an NFL offense. God bless. lol ok I mean you’re clearly wrong. Set aside your feelings for a game, or a season. This is actually a fantastic game for the bears so far. What’s most encouraging is how inventive the Bears offensive staff has been. The last three weeks is impressive. They’re really working with what they got and making something effective. Now they gotta figure out how to score more consistently in the red zone.
  19. Wrong. They’re closer to a championship than they were 2 weeks ago. I couldn’t care less if they set records for futility on defense. They finally have an NFL offense. God bless.
  20. Damn. Everything spiraled after that 3rd down choice to throw deep. Don’t convert on 3rd down, then punt (pretty much a death sentence) and then the blocked punt Honestly you probably need to go on every 4th down against Miami. Your defense cannot under any circumstance stop them.
  21. This may be the worst bears defense in bears history They may as well not even be on the field, it’s astonishing
  22. YES YOU LOVE TO SEE IT
  23. I kinda like this Bears offense??? Maybe a few too many wide receiver screens but overall effective???
  24. Absolutely shocked only -4 Dolphins. I’m not a gambling man but I’d…put it -16.5 Dolphins probably.
  25. I think this has been mentioned already but holy moly I can hardly believe that through 8 games Justin Fields has a higher QBR than Aaron Rodgers
