  1. Easy fly ball to left by fontenot. Duncan went back at first, then ran in. He had plenty of time, he was under it - on the run - and it bounced off the heel of his glove. He then attempted to throw to second to get ramirez (who had been on first) and either he airmailed the throw or Ryan flat out missed the catch. Thanks. Yep. It stuck Fontenot on 3rd and just skipped the explanation.
  2. Who the worst LF? Duncan, Braun or Soriano? I'd say Duncan by a landslide. Why would you leave Dunn out of that conversation?
  3. I really don't know what to make of Fuku long term, but I sure like him right now.
  4. Well hey, Fuku is our best hitter right now. Lets get it done.
  5. What part? My border guards are supposed to warn me of such occurences. We have people on the inside.
  6. Hey guys...what's your feeling on the hit and run play?
  7. That will come though, and the walks will stay. Patience doesn't slump....or something.
  8. Favre retires and BOOM....Madden is done. Coincidence?
  9. Not doubting ya, but don't see this on any of the big sports sites. Where'd ya hear it?
  10. David Haugh has an article in the Trib this morning about how the Bears aren't locked in on WR for their 2nd round pick. But with all the mis-information out there, I'm pretty much ignoring most of that noise. I was interested in this tidbit near the end though. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-16-haugh-bears-chicago-apr16,0,6550448.column
  11. Those stupid, stupid Cubs. I am firing off a letter today informing them that if they would simply hire Rob from NSBB, that Lou would suddenly become a much better manager. Ohhh...yeah...the classic "just a message board poster" attack. I think it's been around since the dawn of the internet. It's great when you have no other way to argue a losing point. Drop the argument and attack the "message board poster" aspect. Well done.
  12. He also had a dumb manager, whos team regularly made head scratching moves on the basepaths and defensively. Well no question, but I'm not talking about he attempted a steal when he shouldn't have. He made a lot of stupid plays that the manager had nothing to do with. That's true, but Theriot has made a lot of [expletive] moves as well, but those were "gutsy". The biggest one against Cedeno was sliding past the bag on ball 4. But that was more weird than stupid. That's of course the most memorable. But there was a lot more than that. I can't make an argument about Theriot vs Cedeno in a competition of stupidity on the baseball field, mainly because it's been long enough that I don't remember most of them. But I was a guy that was rooting for Cedeno to do well, and he just kept letting mental lapses get in the way.

  14. Something that hasn't been mentioned... Cedeno was dumb as a box of rocks as far as "baseball smarts" goes. He really made a lot of head scratching moves on the basepaths and defensively. Dude got thrown out on a walk.
  15. I hate to jinx it, since raving about Harden's first inning was followed by...not raving.... But the bullpen has been strong so far today.
