I'd like to think that video is the moment where Garth Brooks went insane and decided he wasn't just a shlumpy guy playing bad pop country that everyone love...no, he was an AC-TOR and he would play characters and CHRIS GAINES WOULD CHANGE THE WORRRRRRRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLLLD!!! Chris Gaines was obviously a horrible idea...but it was more because the tv movie it was supposed to go with never happened. I'm far, far from a country fan, and my music tastes don't match up with most of those in the music thread, but I'd still go see Garth in a minute. Saw him one other time, and it was a quite entertaining show.

Quade given dreaded "vote of confidence" by Hendry

It's nitpicking, but this statement is what I think of when I hear "vote of confidence". I think of a GM saying "XXX is our manager for the rest of the year." or "We have not given consideration to a managerial change"....that kind of thing. Saying "it's not his fault, he's done a good job" is a pretty weak vote of confidence. -
