  1. Had to be pretty miserable sitting in that heat.
  2. Detroit gets LB Justin Durant. He's someone that Bears were supposedly looking at.
  3. I think 8, not including UDFA's. But hard to say for sure in this chaos.
  4. That's a nice trade for Washington.
  5. Brad Biggs is downplaying the Bears interest in Smith...
  6. Their interest in him has been rumored for months and Asomugha has said he'd like to play for the Jets. They'll be paying a ton for him but they'd have the best secondary in the league. And a ridiculous amount of money tied up in one area.
  7. I'm guessing we see more wildcat with Smith back there.
  8. I was looking forward to Christian Ponder becoming a stain on the Metrodome turf. :( That'll still likely happen at some point, if the Chad Pennington comparisons ring true. They still have Webb too though, right? If they think Ponder isn't ready...
  9. Unless you're of the opinion that having a stronger OL helps both. Bigger holes to run, and more time for WR's to run routes.
  10. Bears agree to terms with 5th and 6th round draft picks Enderle and Thomas. Both got 4 year deals.
  11. Can't vouch for accuracy. http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2011-nfl-undrafted-free-agents
  12. I'm with Raw on Roy Williams. The guy has all the size and potential, but it just fails to materialize when gametime starts. Plus I'd want someone to deck him everytime he got up and made a 1st down gesture....*shudder*
  13. This person did not go to Texas A&M. I've never heard of him before. He's from Texas A&M-Kingsville.
  14. Dan Pompei on some of the UDFA's the Bears signed... http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-pompei-bears-may-strike-gold-with-undrafted-freeagent-lode-20110726,0,902097.story
  15. Bears are talking with Nick Roach, and would like to keep him. Notre Dame RB Robert Hughes signs with the Bears. 5-11, 245....probably has to be a FB in the NFL.
  16. The guy is 6'3" and runs a 4.4. To not have gotten drafted, he must have been the first receiver in history to play without hands Per Wes Bunting:
  17. Apparently Maynard didn't get along with Dave Toub... More here... http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/42024/rare-animosity-toward-bears-dave-toub
  18. Roy Williams is a classic underachiever and a bit of a douchebag, but I would put him below Edwards & Santonio Holmes, but above the old receivers discussed earlier. Probably on par with Sims-Walker and probably cheaper at this point. I'd say his more than a bit of a douchebag. I think his attitude probably puts him in less demand than he'd otherwise be.
  19. Cowboys to release both Roy Williams and Marion Barber.
  20. lol...yea there's no undrafted success stories out there...like Kurt Warner, or Warren Moon, or Antonio Gates, or Priest Holmes, or Tony Romo, or Jeff Saturday, or Adam Vinateri, or . I never said there wasn't. There's always diamonds in the rough. But as of right now they don't have much value and you can't be certain they'll even develop into useful players. lol...ok. I guess I failed to see the "diamonds in the rough" exception regarding your description of "turd mountain".
