  1. wow, that's idiotic. Not really. Don't want security to beat the crap out of you at the game? Don't be an idiot and run onto the field. Seems pretty simple to me. I see what you're getting at. We should apply that to other aspects of life too! Like...doctors can beat the crap out of overweight people. Don't wanna get the crap beat of you? Skip the big macs!
  2. Did you read the thread at all before you posted?
  3. That's really not a surprise. I wonder how long it's gonna take him to be right.
  4. Oh come on, rival scouts? We all know this was David Kaplan....
  5. Here's the full Rosenthal article: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/chicago-cubs-mess-just-getting-worse-ken-rosenthal-notes-analysis-060611
  6. Marv Albert will do PBP for NFL on CBS this season.
  7. http://allindstrom.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/baseball-luda-200x200.jpg I'd need to see Ludacris's splits before I'd consider that trade.
  8. Good choice, sir. The premptive "if you disagree with me, it's NSBB group think" is a classic.
  9. I spy a flaw in this surely relevant reasoning though. It also rhymes with "Everybody's buying tickets".
  10. Don't hold your breath on Burress to the Bears: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/breaking/cbsports-bears-unlikely-to-renewe-their-interest-in-burress-20110606,0,7502325.story
  11. ESPN Chicago doing an evaluation of a Bulls player per day. So far they've done Boozer, Bogans and Noah... http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bulls/category/_/name/2011-bulls-reviews
  12. It's worth mentioning that I've seen a number of new posters just starting up on the board in the past week or so, since the registration process was fixed.
  13. I always thoguht Haugh was pretty decent before he took over "In The Wake of the News". But he's been terrible since then, no doubt.
  14. Yeah, the Other Sports and Social forums keep quite active. They tend to skew older. Do you have perform an age survey I'm not aware of?
  15. Ha. I agree, but was just being all inclusive. I'd rank the options as follows Crawford Afflalo (will get matched) Mayo (if Memphis will trade with us) SJax (if available) Thorton (will get matched) Richardson Smith Chandler (will prob get matched) Lee (not giving up Asik or Taj) West Williams (maybe matched) Hamilton (only for the min salary) Give up Draft guys I don't even consider as filling the hole. Not that I wouldn't draft them if they were BPA, but not counting on them to upgrade the SG spot. Is your ranking based on realistically who we might get? Or who you want the most? I'd really like to end up with Richardson. I don't know how that would happen, unfortunately.
  16. Yeah, the Other Sports and Social forums keep quite active.
  17. I'm not sure what makes that an entirely different issue. I have a tough time seeing Knox as a #2. If they had Andre Johnson I wouldn't worry about it. But they don't, so I have a hard time seeing Knox as a #2. You lost me. Do you have a hard time seeing Knox as a #2 on this team? A hypothetical team? In the general sense? Because he's a legit #2 WR today. Him being the 2nd best option that the Bears have doesn't making him a legit #2. Do you believe the Bears have a legit #1?
  18. Time to move along. Not tons to post yet, but Keith Bogans underwent arthoscopic knee surgery to clean up some wear and tear.
  19. Shaq announced his retirement on twitter.
  20. Well, there's a counterexample. I guess my theory is busted. And it was such a strong one to begin with...you know with no evidence and being impossible to prove or disprove.
  21. Age has nothing to do with it. Of course not. It's just a big coincidence that a very sizable majority of the people in this thread were between 13 and 25 the last time they really felt the Cubs' fire for multiple seasons. I'm 34 years old. I was older than your age range when the board was created. You're really making things up here. Maybe getting older has to do with people spending less time on the board, but not for caring about baseball.
  22. I've only caught bits and pieces of the games over the last couple of days, but man the stands have looked really empty.
  23. I have a really hard time seeing Knox as a #2. He put up 50+ catches and 900 yards in his 2nd year, as a 5th round pick, out of Abilene Christian....first as a starter. His numbers last year were pretty much in-line with what middle of the pack #2 WRs put up. Of course, he was the #1 target last year, so that's not good. But I think he'd be extremely effective with a guy on the other side of him who is good enough to take some of the coverage away from him and put him in 1-on-1's with #2 CBs. I hope they only ever throw to him when he has seperation though.
  24. Crappy GM? Wow, get a clue. Awesome first post.
