But the point is that he never gets blamed for a team that continually underperforms overall. While most other QB's are lightning rods for criticism if the team underperforms. Actual stats be damned. Tony Romo doesn't get unfair criticism? What world are you guys living in? Romo is up there with Cutler and Eli in terms of the Mt. Rushmore of dudes who invoke a [expletive] every time they screw up. Nationally, but not by the home market.

Hell, I pay for Center Ice but when the games are on WGN I can only get the visitors broadcast for some reason. That pisses me off. I'm not gonna pay for Center Ice for a handful of regular season games each year. I live in central Illinois...I shouldn't be missing any Chicago sports games. It's just these and a few CLTV Cubs games (although sometimes those are simulcast locally.)
So Mike Mulligan just had a great point on the radio (every squirrel finds the occasional nut)... If Cutler knows that Phil has a plan, has negotiations already begun? Maybe Jay's agent is already talking with Emery? Does Jay know that they want him back?

In all seriousness, if the Bears let Jay go....who is your QB of the future? 34 year old Josh McCown? Do you remember what a truly bad QB looks like? We've had a lot of them. They don't look a thing like Jay Cutler.
Cade McNown is not a better option than Jay Cutler, no matter how many meatballs say differently. OK, like I said, I get that. Going forward, how is Jay definitely your guy though? No, you don't get it. Josh McCown. Cade McNown. Different people.
They are clearly better, but either way that was a terrible throw on the INT bad defense or not McCown makes the same throw. Nobody was open underneath. Nice try. Is your only response not that it was a bad throw/decision, but McCown makes the same one? Maybe McCown throws the ball away or something else. But you can't say McCown makes the same throw when his INT % is 6 times less. Maybe McCown doesn't march them down like Cutler did, but seeing what we saw of McCown that throw doesn't happen with him as much as it does with Cutler. McCown made the same throw last week and a Marshall tip saved it from being a pick. Nice try.
They are clearly better, but either way that was a terrible throw on the INT bad defense or not Not just talking about that. Media has a tendency to ignore defensive differences when analyzing overall offensive performance. See Biggs, Brad.
