  1. I think the Bears will end up keeping him in the $16-18/yr range.
  2. Still better than knife-footed apes. Knives inherently improve things. http://i.imgur.com/1seG5jK.gif
  3. Ah, ok. I didn't know that wasn't allowed. You're right, it is basically an injury clause. Makes sense that'd be verboten. I don't even see it as being all that necessary or useful. It's not like he's always missing lots of time. He's played in 15 or 16 games in almost every season of his career. And the full contract is already not guaranteed. He's gotten a knock from the meatball fans for being injury prone though. My only point in mentioning it would be that it could ease those concerns. I'm surrounded by anti-Cutler types at work...it's tiring.

  5. Things like workout bonuses happen all the time. I'm not so sure games played bonuses exist. Found an old Tebow article... Not quite the same, but it makes me think a clause about games played/started would be possible. Although Cutler may be unlikely to accept that.
  6. How common are conditions in NFL contracts? Could he make more money if he reaches a certain number of games started or something? Could alleviate concerns about paying a lot to a guy that's been injured a lot.
  7. Letting Cutler go probably means that Marshall would be gone after his contract is up too. Maybe even request a trade.

  9. But they should be 4-1 cuz Gould should've made that FG and Trestman should've run another play and herp derp!
  10. Renteria at the Winter Meetings. http://wapc.mlb.com/chc/play/?content_id=31264257&topic_id=8878538&c_id=chc
  11. Briggs not cleared after evaluation yesterday. Will be evaluated again in a couple of days, but doesn't sound optimistic for this week.
  12. The Browns waived Hanie.

  14. The safeties weren't good, but the LB's certainly did them no favors. Conte was chasing down LB mistakes left and right last night for sure.
  15. I started to put together a very similar post about the defensive rankings earlier and got busy at work and forgot about it. That's the element that Biggs really needed to include in his article the other day.

  17. I'm about 6 months older than Kerry Wood. His retirement made me sad. I'm starting to think that I'm not going to be a major league baseball player :( Or any professional athlete for that matter. I was just about to start getting in shape too.

  19. So before reading this thread, if someone had asked me to predict which posters would be all weak in the knees over McCown, I could have predicted it with a pretty decent amount of accuracy.
  20. He looks a mile away from the base.

  22. Yeah, I've long been a fan of Biggs, but not so much this year. What'd he say? Bears more productive with McCown at QB
