  1. I don't think there are many good mock draft sites. I think those sites are more valuable for their position/overall rankings rather than mocks. But I like: draftek.com, cbssports.com, and draftcountdown.com I just like them because frankly I don't watch college football. So come this time of year, I'm really just learning about a lot of these players, and how high they're expected to go...what team needs are, etc. Walterfootball seems to have a good grip on the players and their value, but does a poor job of evaluating nfl team needs, imo. A really poor job w/ team needs. But most other sites only do a 1st round mock. Draftek does a full 7 rounds, at least they will within the next couple months (only 3 rounds now, I believe). But their player values are all over the place. Draft countdown usually does 3 rounds, toward the end of draft season. Thanks. It's funny...Walter, Draftek and Draft Countdown all have the Bears picking in different positions, because of when their mocks were done, but they all have the Bears with Ra'Shede Hageman at the moment.

  3. Are the Cowboys going to allow Marinelli to go? Don't have a choice, this is a promotion for him. From DL coach to DC. Not true. They're only required to allow him to interview for a head coach promotion... http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/60290/cowboys-would-have-to-ok-marinelli-move
  4. What are some other good mock draft sites other than Walterfootball? I really am starting to hate that site. Oh, and I'm not so interested as to pay for anything.
  5. Press conference with Trestman and Emery is at 9:30. Should find out one way or the other about Tucker.
  6. Are the Cowboys going to allow Marinelli to go?
  7. I also thought the camera was too far away from the rink. Too much of the near side of the ice was hidden.
  8. @mikecwright Bears signed P Drew Butler, per NFL Source.
  9. I agree with Pompei though, that I don't think Tucker being fired is a sure thing. I get that it is not a sure thing, but it absolutely should be. Say what you want about the decrease in talent via age and injury, but the talent of anybody in the NFL is good enough that a defensive scheme should be able to occasionally not be awful. They were routinely terrible game in and game out, with no adjustments to improve. Yeah, I wasn't arguing for his job safety at all. I just think they're likely to give him another year after trying to give him more to work with.

  11. It really sucks, cuz Major Wright is just a really good sports name.
  12. About 10 posts up or so. :)
  13. Cutler really said great things about Mel Tucker on his radio show and doesn't think he's going anywhere, for whatever you think a QB praising a defensive coordinator is worth. Also said Jordan Mills played at a pro bowl level this year....
  14. Apparently Chris Conte shut down his twitter, and Barry Rozner is saying that there's a Chris Conte reporter that was mistakenly getting tweeted some really awful things.
  15. Yeah, but the Kings do have pretty damn good overall defense to help him out.
  16. Someone on reddit put together 10 year standings. If the season was 10 years long, the Bears would've missed the playoffs by half a game. Sounds right. http://imgur.com/a/Lgl5X
  17. After Hub spent the whole show today talking down Kyle Long.
  18. Browns are pushing to talk to Josh McDaniels.
  19. I'm just gonna put this here... http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2013/12/aaron-rodgers-rumor-gay-kevin-lanflisi-lover-green-bay-packers-nfl-lgbt/
  20. Ian Rapoport @RapSheet There's a lot of talk of bringing the old Tampa group together -- Lovie Smith, Jerry Angelo, Tim Ruskell -- for the #Bucs. Would be ideal.
  21. I wonder what the talk was last year when it came to Lovie's future. I'm guessing they expected him to return. It's a lot easier to randomly, unexpected decide to make a coaching change than to make a QB change, especially when you don't have another QB in place as a replacement. I would think it is just as easy to not bring back an unsigned QB as it is to fire a signed head coach with no external shenanigan issues coming off a 10-6 season. Or at least similarly difficult. But your replacement options are fewer than they are with HC.

  23. Haha, Hub is on The Score, filling in for B&B today, and Dan Durkin is tweeting corrections to things he's saying, about Peppers cap numbers, and informing him that the Bears cut Brandon Hardin back on Oct 28th.
  24. @adamjahns Based off talks in the #Bears locker room, it does sound like most players expect Jay Cutler to return.
  25. Putting Philly on that list is absurd. It's Amaro. If I was a fan of them, I'd be hating things right now, but from a fairness standpoint, I guess their current situation kind of mirrors ours from a few years back. Their first sub .500 season since 2002, a couple years removed from a 100 win season, several 90 win seasons, five straight playoff appearances, 2 NL pennants and a World Series title? That's quite a mirror. It's that Harry Potter mirror where you see what you want to see.
