I think he started for Kruetz against the 49ers. Ahh...the one where Grossman fumbled the snap for the TD...in that case I don't think I'll be too upset about this guy being gone...:P

Bears traded some OL guy named Friedman to the Browns. I honestly don't know if I've ever heard of him...
  4. In addition to what Tim said, lets not let this thread become a racism argument. If you want to do that, I'm sure there's probably a thread in Rants that will suit your needs.
  5. Give Bill some credit, he admits when he's wrong:
  6. You were hoping to watch a flame war? :P
  7. I've always been a big fan of Giles, and definitely wouldn't be upset about getting him.
  8. That's excellent to hear. I miss Dlee...

I think I'm mistaken here. Yeah...everything I've read says Lovie wants to know who it is, but hasn't found out.

Football Outsiders/Foxsports.com ranks the Bears receiving dead last in the NFL...harsh?
  11. Wouldn't that have really been the capper on this season????

Mike Williams; he's close to being cut by the Lions. I think Cadillac went after the Bears took Benson, but I could be remembering wrong. I'm pretty sure you're right about that.

It doesn't seem like the team is very fond of Benson. I'd say it's likely these guys split carries unless one of them gets red hot. Well the team thinks it can contend for a Super Bowl and they want to go with a proven winner. I am not saying that Benson can't do the job, but if you are on the defense you realize this could be your only chance for a Super Bowl. Freak injuries occur all the time and the Bears have been relatively healthy so far. Plus the Bears have a super easy schedule. This is the Bears best chance since 85 at the beginning of the season for another Super Bowl title. Forget the proven winner...how about the best player? This is like Dusty refusing to play a rookie, because he want's the "proven veteran". If Jones is the better back, then fine...be mad about that. But wanting the "proven winner" is a lame reason to pissed a rookie IMO.
  15. i think a healthy izturis with 7 solid bats wouldn't hurt as much as with less than that amount of solid bats, but would be far from good. izturis is tolerable if the rest of the lineup is good, that much is true. Yes, I think an otherwise solid lineup can hide such a bad hitter. But part of the problem with Izturis is his presence, and cost, will probably mean fewer improvements elsewhere. And the Cubs are very far away from having 7 solid bats. Not to mention he's batting 2nd....like Neifi was.
  16. He's no Kornheiser I liked Tony. He admitted when he didn't know some information and didn't just spout out crap just to make us respond. I hope ESPN replaces this guy sometime soon, he's had his chance. I really miss Tony on the radio.
  17. Well this all gave Dusty a chance to name-drop Hank Aaron again...
  18. It's only $5 a month. Big Mac, fries and a coke will cost you more than that! And nsbb won't clog your arteries. $5 a month can feed a starving child in Naperville! 8-[

I normally don't have a problem with Peter King, but this is just a dumb comment: Huh, trouble running, with our first and second string backs injured...that's really strange, huh Peter?
  21. I don't think Hendry views Izturis as untouchable. I think he'd go in the right deal. I can't see him moving though. There's way too many pieces Hendry would part with before Izturis, and not many teams are going to really want Izturis anyway. Like no one wanted Perez?

I think once we have Jones and Benson in there, the running game will be much more of a focus. I think Turner knows that's still where the strength of the offense is at.

  24. It does help until I see Izturis hitting 2nd in the lineup and then I just think here we go again. Well if Dusty gets replaced, then that will hopefully take care of that issue...
