  1. Something you didn't talk about, that was talked about quite a bit in this thread, is the Bears pass rush vs the Seahawks 4 WR set. I really think that's going to be a huge matchup in this game. If the pass rush can get to Hasslebeck in those sets, it's going to throw a huge crimp in what Seattle was successful at vs the Giants. If they aren't successful at it, there's going to be a lot of pressure on the Bears secondary all night long. Also, there's underestimating going on both sides, because all the Seattle message boards I've read talk about how crappy the Bears offense is, and that's just not the case. If the Seahawks treat the Bears like they have a bad offense, they're going to get burned. I think this is going to be a great game.
  2. Seconded. My wife and I parked at Devry and paid the $6 and it was well worth it. Much easier to get out once the game is over too.
  3. This is Tillman's 4th season. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=4493 EDIT: Sportsline.com has Tillman ranked 44th in DB's. He's the highest ranked Bear DB. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/playerrankings/regularseason/DB I'm wondering if these are skewed though because the Bears help on coverage so much. They swarm.
  4. Is it time to cut bait with him? Seems like he's always injured.
  5. Throw Steve Phillips on there for good measure. Or if we can get Dibble to come back... :D Oh god. I don't think I would watch baseball tonight ever again if Baker joined them. Really? I'd have have it on Tivo series record!
  6. Throw Steve Phillips on there for good measure. Or if we can get Dibble to come back... :D
  7. Well that more or less answers what is going on with Derrek's daughter. That's a shame.
  8. Write a newspaper column so we can talk about it! :)
  9. Over/under on how many times he predicts the hitter K's on a slider low and away? I'd LOVE to see Stone back in the booth. I don't mean to single you out vance, but I think the low-and-away slider joke has been overplayed. It's not as if Stone never offered a LOT more interesting and non-trivial insights than that. I don't think it's overplayed. I think Stone's use of that was overplayed. He offered a lot of interesting insights. But by the end, he was just calling for sliders low and away on every pitch. By the way, Stone wouldn't be back for PBP (play-by-play), he'd be the color man, or analyst. Len is the PBP guy. You're right...I'll edit the subject... #-o
  10. It's an insider article, and somewhat lengthy, but a lot of good Zambrano HR ratio comparisons in there. Also I found this somewhat funny: EDIT: hey, how about I post the link? http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=stark_jayson#20060928
  11. From today's tribune: How must-see would Baker be as an ESPN analyst? Seriously.
  12. Actually it makes me really nervous. I think we could really lose this game. It's possible, but I'm not that worried about it. The D-line will get to Hasslebeck in a hurry when they go with 4 WR's. I'm strangely more confident about this than I really was with the Vikings. Bears 21 Seahhawks 13
  13. Go Boilers!
  14. Yes, please, direct me to the speculation of a house cleaning. I like that idea and would like to subscribe to the newsletter.

  16. Fact or fiction for Joe Theismann: The Seahawks are still the best team in the NFC. Great Joe, now, who do you pick to win the game? Joe picks the Seahawks :-k
  17. Sure...it was two seperate stories. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/cs-060927bears,1,1713327.story?coll=cs-home-headlines http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/cs-060927bearsbits,1,4445286.story?coll=cs-home-headlines :)
  18. There was some discussion of Clement in Transactions, but I couldn't find the thread. Labrum/Rotator Cuff huh? Same as Kerry, correct? Consipiracy theorists unite!
  19. Phil Rogers' articlethis morning talked about a guy name Trey Hillman that's in Japan right now as someone the Cubs should consider. Considering my skepticism for just about anything Phil has to tell me, thought I'd run it by here and see what people knew about him and if he'd be a good option.
  20. Anyone else excited to see how the Bears do against a 4 receiver set? The Bears plan on still using 2 linebackers against the 4 receiver set. As far as our receivers go, this is a nice quote:
  21. Not to defend Sullivan too vigorously here, but I doubt he wrote the headline. There's typically someone else that does that, and Sullivan didn't use that term in the article itself.
  22. Sportsline is pretty undecided about this game. 3 picks for Seattle. 3 for Chicago. And Harmon was one of the Chicago backers, after having gone against Chicago in just about every game last year.
  23. I don't think even Hendry will be interested in Frank.
  24. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-060927cubsbits,1,1852558.story?coll=cs-home-headlines At least that's what the headline writer calls them. But to be honest, with knowing that Baker is gonna be gone, and seeing what this organization has done to it's pitchers, I find it hard to blame the young guys for maybe not taking a ton of advise from this staff/team.
