I assume every one along with myself is upset about the game today. But look at it this way, they cubs were one swing away from being down 0-1 in the series anyway. Given Hill's performance the first game was a gift. That doesn't necessarily make it an easier pill to swallow, but at least we're not down 2-0. Let's take the series tommow and then win 3 or 4 against WSH next week. Win tommorow, 3 against washington would put us at 2 over, build off that and then watch the scoreboard. Hell it's alot better than a week ago.

The brewers are a very young team and they historically have the tendancy to fade towards the end of the summer. Even if not, the cubs are right at .500 so the rest of the season is there for the taking. Just play good baseball, win games and be competitive is all that I ask.

I bet Izturis starts at SS tomorrow. I would too...if i was a betting man of course. A 1-2-3 first would do wonders for my soul. A win...even more so.

The Cubs make no sense. Gah. I thought he looked impressive. I don't understand. Hopefully jacque will be gone in the next couple of weeks and he'll be back up.

The cubs are so blessed to have 2 announcers such as Len and Ron. While Len has had some great calls for some of the games this year(or week), Ron is a legend and in another category. I love listening to both of them when I can, but I just wanted to point out how lucky the cubs are to even have one really good anouncer. After buying the mlb.tv package i have found out just how rare a good anouncer is. *goosebumps* One has to think is it the announcer that makes the call great or the desperation in the listener that makes the call great? Either way, I'm happy tonight!

I was overly pessimistic within the last game thread after the cubs went down 5-0. I will own up to it, i was pouting and acting like a bitch. I don't think anybody here could blame me bc of the cubs tendancy to break hearts....but I'm feeling it now, i'm on the wagon. Southpaw's quotes have inspired those playing and those following to their fullest degree :wink: . Given the division or even the entire state of the NL, the cubs are RIGHT NOW in a position to declare their own destiny. If they falter then so be it, but if they keep playing at this level the sky is the limit! *jumps off cloud*
