Hill is out of options. This is why I don't understand getting Bowen for Barett. I wasn't completely against trading Barett, but I would have rather gotten some kind of serviceable arm or a decent prospect for him. Hill is a fine backup cather, but this platoon thing with him and bowen hasn't been pretty. Of course if Soto were to come up and struggle we're in the same boat. Soto deserves a shot, I say package Hill along with one of the other 3 crappy players that need to be traded. -

Why it does seem like a long shot, I would have to imagine that Lou has got Jim on the phone 24/7 trying to get rid of jones/izturis/eyre. I mean all 3 are buried DEEP on the roster( :D ), with the BP taxed, how much longer can these three rot away on the bench when someone useful is at AAA? I say if you can get anybody to pay around half of any of their salaries and some crappy prospect do it and eat the cost. Whoever we call up will have a fresh new attitude that could only help this team that is already rolling. It may look bad on your part for the stupid contracts jim, but a good record this year would look a whole lot better! Get it done before the ASB! -
looking forward to reading the AP recap on this one. Yesterday's started out "Milwaukee showed why they are first in the NL central". It made me sick.
