    In most cases, yes, but Z is one of the few pitchers who isn't an automatic out. I was too slow with my post. I was talking about the Cubs pitching to Bixler with Duke on deck.

    Why pitch to the #8 hitter with a man on 2nd and 2 out? Walk him, get the pitcher and worry about next inning when you get there. The pitcher might knock one in once in every 25-30 ABs or so, but I would walk the #8 hitter every time.

    It sure is nice to hear somebody sing The National Anthem and not be terrible. It seems everytime you see a musician sing it, it takes them 5 minutes and it sucks, but Reckless Kelly did a great job. Wayne Messmer always does a good job, too.

    Ronny will play tomorrow vs. Randy Wolf. Also, get Shawn Estes on Tuesday! So, he should be in the lineup then also, I would hope. Who do you think will sit for Cedeno? Not Theriot or Derosa. Fukudome?

    The throw beat him by a mile. He's not fast and he really hasn't shown that he's a good base-stealer. Great he was safe though so how are you answering my post again? He wasn't safe. He was out. I'm not just saying that because the ball beat him. He was tagged about a foot short of the base. He's been killing innings all year with his gritty baserunning.

    He's speedy and gritty and that's what you need most in the 2 spot. It doesn't matter if you only get on base at a .330 clip. I really doubt Theriot ends up with that high of a OBP. He was at .326 last year. I was just going by that.
