    Full Count 55 ABs 26 BBs 23 Ks .291/.512/.400 .912 OPS :) 23 Ks in 55 ABs does seem like a lot, but I guess when you already have 2 strikes on you, thats probably normal to K 42% of the time, especially being a supposed power hitter. Does that mean 55 ABs of 55 PAs? If it's ABs that's 81 PAs and only 23 Ks.

Anyone who has seen me talk about the Cubs knows I'm far from an optimist, but my gut tells me that the kid will be in a Cubs uniform by Tuesday. I kinda have that feeling too...it's been kinda quiet lately but that tidbit from the Trib got me thinking they're going for Griffey, as did the report on ESPN 1000. keeping fingers crossed What was the ESPN 1000 report?

    blister on his finger. things are going badly for the brewers. Not a blister. He threw and his finger popped and he is grimacing every time the trainer touches it. how does that happen? throwing a pitch shouldn't cause that type of injury. did he hit it on his leg during a follow through? Didn't Joel Zumaya pull a ligament in his middle finger throwing a pitch?

    At the Mississippi 5a state championship series this year, I saw a sidearmer that was a junior throwing 92. The game was played at the Braves AA park in Pearl, MS so the radar gun was probably accurate. A sidewinding 17 year old hitting 92 is pretty rare.

    When I was 9 years old, I learned that if a runner is halfway you either run at him or throw ahead of him. Apparently Barrett missed that day.
