Pie does not look like a major league batter right now. I'm curious. What does everyone think his numbers will look like next year? I'd be happy with .270/.355/.420, 12 homers, 70 RBI and 25 steals. Seriously, please explain. Pie has plus speed and plays excellent defense. There's always a market for those skills alone. He also had over 50 extra base hits in the minors last year. There's pop in his bat and he'll only fill out as he gets older. I hope you guys are right. I have heard this a lot over the past few years and nobody ever is a Reyes, Braun, Wright, etc. The Cubs have developed plenty of good position players. You just don't remember them because the last one was almost 20 YEARS AGO!
