  1. The good news is, I can go ahead and watch It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia in about 10 minutes. I didn't want to miss the new episodes and now I won't..
  2. Great pitch to swing at 2-0. Another example of being scared and trying to do too much.
  3. Why? So we can not score against their bullpen?
  4. I guess the "don't worry, it's not over yet" crowd will be posting soon.
  5. No. Just players that are scared they're going to be the one that messes it up this time. Harrelson said Sunday, "the Sox players had a lot of tight behinds". The same can be said about this team tonight. Swinging at everything at the plate trying to do too much and scared they're going to make a mistake in the field.
  6. No, it's not. It might not be a must win but with Zambrano, who has had two straight bad starts pitching tomorrow and Harden, who has 11 Ks and 11 BBs in his last two starts pitching Game 3, this game is very important.
  7. I can't believe Braun has 0 errors this year. He's made 3 or 4 against the Cubs that probably should have been errors.
  8. This is all feeling waaaaay too much like 2004. I didn't want to say it but, yeah, it is. Here's the latest projection. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at4+shtml/143311.shtml?5day?large#contentshttp://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at4+shtml/143311.shtml?5day?large#contents
  9. This may have been discussed already, but there is a chance that Hurricane ike could be near Houston next weekend. Could have scheduling problems.
  10. I hope they get to the first round. It's far from a sure thing with the remaining schedule.
  11. I think Cedeno blew that save I don't remember Cedeno giving up 4 base runners. I remember Ronny having the game right in front of him. A routine DP. That's what I remember. If Wood could throw the ball over the plate, Cedeno wouldn't have had a chance to make that error. There's no excuse for not throwing strikes.
  12. I think Cedeno blew that save I don't remember Cedeno giving up 4 base runners. Exactly. Cedeno's not the one that couldn't find the freakin plate.
  13. You're tired of rain? Try being in south mississippi the last couple of days. LOL. He lives in Louisiana. Not making fun of you witty....but totally hilarious. I guess I should have seen that. I'm an idiot. But we are getting a lot of rain ourselves.

  15. I don't know if you should be "loling" any team's #3 hitter after the last couple of months. It's okay to lol them now.
  16. I don't know if you should be "loling" any team's #3 hitter after the last couple of months.
  17. If I was Dempster and I knew I was a bad hitter and I was facing a pitcher with control problems, I would probably take a pitch or two.
  18. If this is the case, I don't understand why we don't just start Marquis on short rest(with a limited pitch count) and have Marshall ready to back him up. Keeps guys in their familiar roles. There's a good chance raw is right and maybe Lou is looking at Marshall as potentially starting. That certainly explains the odd move tonight. Problem is, theres nobody who really deserves to lose their spot in the rotation, even Marquis. And of course, something like this always prompts the weekly is something wrong with Harden panic outbreak. Harden hasn't been very sharp in his last two starts since that 110 pitch outing in Milwaukee. 4 runs against Houston and 5 BBs and only 2 Ks in Atlanta. Zambrano hasn't been very sharp in his last two outings either. OMG OUR TWO ACES ARE LOSING IT SEASON OVER Zambrano doesn't have Harden's injury history I'm not saying Harden is hurt, but that 7 inning game in Milwaukee was his first extended start with the Cubs and since then he hasn't been as good. Could just be a coinidence.

  20. Theriot should have destroyed Escobar on that FC.
  21. Since he isn't, we can give him one up around the head tonight. Since the Braves seem to think that they can do one, tonight is our turn. That's what I would do, but I can understand why they probably won't. Don't want to risk a suspension or an injury in a brawl.
  22. I missed the end of game 1, so somebody explain this. The Braves threw at Soriano's head because he didn't run out of the box? I realize they wouldn't like him watching a HR, but shouldn't they be glad he only got a single? What lesson are they teaching him? "Next time you play us you'll hustle and help produce more runs." I realize this is the wrong game thread, but I thought the other one might be dead. BTW 4-0.
  23. It's because Marquis is a bad pitcher. Meanwhile Sean Marshall is wasting away in the bullpen. Gaudin would also be a much better option, but I like him in the bullpen.
