If this is the case, I don't understand why we don't just start Marquis on short rest(with a limited pitch count) and have Marshall ready to back him up. Keeps guys in their familiar roles. There's a good chance raw is right and maybe Lou is looking at Marshall as potentially starting. That certainly explains the odd move tonight. Problem is, theres nobody who really deserves to lose their spot in the rotation, even Marquis. And of course, something like this always prompts the weekly is something wrong with Harden panic outbreak. Harden hasn't been very sharp in his last two starts since that 110 pitch outing in Milwaukee. 4 runs against Houston and 5 BBs and only 2 Ks in Atlanta. Zambrano hasn't been very sharp in his last two outings either. OMG OUR TWO ACES ARE LOSING IT SEASON OVER Zambrano doesn't have Harden's injury history I'm not saying Harden is hurt, but that 7 inning game in Milwaukee was his first extended start with the Cubs and since then he hasn't been as good. Could just be a coinidence.
