  6. UPDATE LEN IS OFFICIALLY A BIG ADAM DUNN FAN
  7. for the longest time i thought Treebeard was asian, cause he was always posting those emotion eric pictures.
  8. I'll kill myself if we trade Hill for the super overrated Millwood.
  9. no one in high a last year had hit off him either.
  10. http://www.jmacgraph.com/scans/ryan_bj.jpg Did you know that BJ Ryan is the first pitcher to be named one of People's 50 most ridiculously good looking people? High five for da BJ! Tonight, our friend BJ came into the ninth up one run, THE MOST PRESSURE PACKED OF SITUATIONS! Mere mortals (Latroytals lol) crumble under the weight of such a situation. Did BJ give in to the pressure and blow the game for his team? A thousand times no, what he did do was strike out the side on 14 pitches. 3 Strikeouts, 14 pitches, 1 god amongst men. On the season, 29.2 IP 15 saves 46 K's to 9 BB's, and an era that is now lower than the 2.20 it sat at before todays matchup. The best news, HE MIGHT BE A FREE AGENT NEXT SEASON.
  11. I dont want to ignore users, I just want to ignore thread titles.
  12. Most of that OPS with runners on comes from OBP anyway, since he hits SIXTH in that freaking line up. What a waste of a talent.
  13. It's LEN WILLING, I mean, COME ON!!!
  14. I know this is an old thread, but i seriously, seriously hate the old guard of Cub fans that pull the "you're just a kid, you don't know pain, I'm a third generation Cub fan." Guess what, I'm 23, and I'm a third generation Cub fan too. I die a little bit everything we suck. You aren't special just because you're old.
  15. Well it is safe to say he will not be looking at the Cubs bullpen for help. He will take Prior and maybe Zambrano. As for 1st base, It does not matter who gets it because the other will be used as the DH. I just hope the NL can win this year so the other league does not get the WS advantage (which I find to be the most ignorant way to determine home field advantage). You really think after the Z/Edmonds incident, that TLR will pick Zambrano? I dont.
  16. I saw him in action, and I loved every second of it. I made a nice little image last year, and pm'd it to Modzilla. I wanted him to use it when he banned someone, or maybe just as an avatar, but no dice.
  17. Well that's just great Tim, how am I supposed to know if he saw my hey message or not? :x :x :x
  18. Since we never talked, I wanted to make sure and say "hey" before you get banned.
  19. Being a 6'10" lefty who throws 96 might have something to do with it. Being a 6'10 lefty who throws 96 got him a 4.21 ERA in High A ball. How does a 4.21 ERA in High A turn into a 1.93 ERA at the major league level one year later? No one saw this coming. Hendry certainly didn't. Did you say to yourself, "Deeg, that Sisco and his 4+ ERA in A ball sure looks good, I bet he would be the best middle reliever on the team"? Of course you didnt. I didnt want him unprotected either, but I dont see how you could predict such major league success so soon. No - but given that we're falling all over ourselves praising a prospect almost five years older (Hill) for what he's doing in AA, that's really beside the point. We could have kept Sisco and let him beat the crap out of FSL hitters, and yes - I did think he had a good chance of being an impact pitcher. Huge lefties with great arms don't exactly grow on trees. I'm talking about this year. No one thought he would not suck in the majors THIS YEAR.

  22. Man, the NL has a monopoly on the first basemen. NL Pujols, Helton, Thome, Lee, Delgado AL Ortiz(not really a first baseman), Sexon (Rob Deer 2.0), Teixeira, Morneau (He and Tex are going to jump Lee, Thome and Delgado soon enough. Tex may be better than Delgado now), Hafner? (DH), Sweeny?
  23. Count me in, if just for the circling the wagons comment. When do the initial numbers come out?
  24. I really just dont understand how the hell he is doing so well, but I am happy for him.
