  1. Maybe he just realized that Arkansas' football team sucks. Why would any big-time recruit want to play for them? That is what I didn't get, all I can think of is that he is from Arkansas. Arkansas has been on him for a long time, If I remember right, most of Arkansas top recruits have gotten out of state recently, so there has been a big push to keep this guy in state. For OU, we just got a RB, Chris Brown, out of Louisiana, he should be a pretty good one by the the time he sees the field. We grabbed at least one, maybe two JUCO Olinemen (thank god) and we signed a JUCO QB who has 3 years left to either back-up or push Bomar, depending which side of that debate youre on. We're also in on Jermaine Gresham, one of the top 2 or 3TE's in the country, though from what I hear, he's pretty soft and doesnt block, so he may end up being a big, slow wide receiver. I'm more excited about Gerald Mccoy, who is the No. 1 DT in the nation, and is out of OK. I know USC and LSU are really pushing on him hard, but I think he stays in state. That would be two consecutive years of getting the No. 1 DT in the nation. Having him and Granger lining up at DT for a few years would be borderline cheating. Also, we're in on Demarco Murray, who you guys probably know about. A RB in the mold of Reggie Bush, it's down to us and USC, though I'd put it at about 90% that he ends up a Trojan. I would love to see him in our backfield next year though. Wow, I just read that USC switched, and with all the RB's considering them (8, if I remember correctly, now that Goodsen decommitted from OSU), and they are recruiting Murray as a cornerback. If this is true, I have to think OU is the favorite for him.

  3. Ugh, the outfield has turned into a horrible multiple choice test where all the answers are wrong.
  4. don't know but would you have liked to trade cpatt and rusch two years ago for vasquez? yeah we would. let me get this straight we are an organization that hasn't won a title in 97 years and we are worried about being good over the long haul instead of going balls out to win a title(or in the sox case ANOTHER title) please i have had too many years of crap baseball, can we go ahead and try to win one. we can worry about 2 after we win the first one. also our wonderful prospects have done really well so far...good thing we hung onto patterson, guzman, mitre(until now),wellmeyer,brownlee,christensen.....and so on. we have developed z and drafted prior(we did not develop him).... Vazquez of two years ago isnt Vazquez of today.
  5. "huge trade imminent...maybe....dont hold me to it.....err....uhhhh.....nevermind"
  6. Would you guys be ok with trading Pie+Rusch for Vazquez? I dont think I would, and that's what this trade looks like to me.
  7. Yeah, i hate those people that criticize him when he does something stupid, and praise him when he does something good. I mean, that's just kooky talk!
  8. whoever gives Clemens 20mil is going to be paying him about 2mil a start. Clemens looked done at the end of the season. I think his back is about to give out.
  9. Indeed, I never would've guessed my Buccaneers allegiance would've saved me here. So, when (if) Patterson is gone, are you changing your screen name? Probably, I've thought about changing it before, so that may signal time for a change. henry rowenfooter!
  10. Parity. BTW, I'm winning this biyatch! Youre just lucky im not in the playoffs. 4-0 against you in the last two years. BOW TO YOUR SENSAI!
  11. Better than Jacque Jones negative
  12. why? texas is a great hitters park and washington is a horrid abyss where good hitters go to die.
  13. i just hope he keeps getting those crap singles. or figures out how to get hits that arent crap singles.

You can say the same thing about a job interview. A job interview isn't a sport, is it? Well, I guess I should have said physical training. What if it's an interview for a physical trainer? you just blew my mind

  16. The question isnt "how much will mizzou win by?" its "how will pinkel screw this up?"
  17. A lot of people were calling Oklahoma the best college team ever. A lot of people said it would be the best college game ever. A lot of people said it would come down to the wire. I hear the same stuff this year. How easily people forget... I really do think USC will KILL them. They have an ability to just shut teams down when they need to, and seem able to score at will. They have trailed a lot this year, and have given up a lot of points and yards, but those were all in the first half. It was almost like USC had to make it fun for themselves. When they wanted to they clamped down, and begin picking teams apart. I must admit that I have not seen Texas play more than 1 game this year (the Colorado game, 2nd one) and I have seen USC a few times. Perhaps I am grossly underestimating Texas, but I just don't see them as being able to hang with USC, at all. They will be outcoached and outplayed IMO. People were calling the 2003 OU team one of the best ever. Until the Big12 Championship game debacle. Anyway, I really thought that our run defense would allow us to stop USC last year. I was a little off.

    Nascar

i meant to say yes, but i dont remember what i clicked on. I really dont understand how people dont consider it a sport. It takes a measure of skill, ability, training and its a competition, sounds like a sport to me. Oh, i hate nascar btw.
  19. hell no, he doesnt even know hes in a race, all hes thinking is "food for me food for me food for me"
  20. The Downtown Athletic Club has just announced that Brady Quinn has been awarded the 2006 Heisman Trophy. *pumps fists* Gets rid of a Heisman AND a national title contender. Pfft, it's a battle for second place after Chase Daniel. Mo Drew disagrees. So does AD.
  21. I dont think it will be as bad as last years game, but I dont think it will be close either. It all depends on whether or not Texas can take advantage of USC up the middle. IMB you may know this, was the line on last years game USC -3? I think it was, but can't remember for sure. You know, I cant remember, but that does sound about right.

  23. I dont remember seeing the cutter. I think, one thing that happened is, he was just being used so sporadically that he went with what was most comfortable to him, which was that big hook and the fastball.
