    Is this a joke? Runs scored is such a terrible way to judge a player that I really hope it is. First off, you can toss out Renteria, Hall, Cuddyer, Ibanez and Uggla, seeing as how its a difference of, at maximum, six runs. And over 162 games, there are all kinds of ways that a player might score six more runs than a player with a higher OBP. As for the other guys? Plate Appearances Dunn - 673, Reds scored 749 runs. Damon - 660, Yankees scored 930 runs. Damon hit in front of ARod, Giambi, Jeter, etc Ramirez - 689, Marlins scored 758 runs. Ramirez hit in front of Uggla, Cabrera and Jacobs. Reyes - 700, Mets scored 834. Reyes hit in front of Wright, Beltran and Delgado Rollins - 746, Phillies scored 865 runs. Hit in front of Utley, Howard and Burrell. There are a lot of reasons Dunn scored less runs than the players you listed.

    Those look a lot like his numbers at AAA this season. That tells me that this time around he has probably relaxed, isn't making such a big deal out of being in the bigs and is just doing what he was doing at AAA. Either that or he is just getting lucky. Obviously, those numbers will come down, but if his batting eye can continue to mature, the Cubs could be looking at an excellent defensive CFer with a bat and speed game similar to Jose Reyes of '06. I'd take that. They will come down. But he's batting right after his best bud. That's gotta give him some comfort. I hope this duo continues to gel because I would love to see Soriano and Pie leading off the top of the order for many years to come. So far, they really have seemed to get things going really well. Probably because of how high their #'s are right now. . Remember that study that BP did last season that showed the incredible tangible effects of having friends on the same team? I can only imagine that those effects grow exponentially when they bat one after the other.

    Yeah, no wonder, because a guy like this is actually one of the better ones. Cubs fans are always disappointed because nobody ever comes up and produces. Guys who become really good major leaguers do a whole lot better than what this guy has done at low A. He may lead the team, but that's because the team stinks. He's tied for about 40th in the league. i guess its a good thing you arent in charge then, cause you would have no doubt booted a 20 year old kid in A ball who hit .267 with 8 HR and 53 RBI in 1994 with 95 K and 42 walks and just 19 doubles in 126 games...then again he is your first baseman now...and sorry we dont have anyone hitting .425 with 26 HR and 67 RBI now...im sure youd find something wrong with said player even if we did... Derrek Lee was 18 then, not 20. You understand the difference that four years makes in prospect talk, right? I think you're a little out of your element.

    from what i have read today he is projected to be a .290-.310 hitter with 35-40 homer power Yeah, maybe if you total up two seasons.
