  1. I was 2 rows behind you. No kidding? Wow.
  2. This one was tough. As someone pointed out to me, Jon loves hilarious stuff, but never says anything funny. Slugger once said "ish". Ehh, I went with Jon.
  3. The entirety of 98. I had always been a huge baseball fan, and I watched as many Cub games every year as I could, but that season marked the first year that I attempted to understand the game in any way. Between Wood and Sosa, I'll never forget that year. Also, the home run he hit off the freaking lights in Houston. That thing would have gone 600 feet. I remember Chip Caray saying something like "ooooooh my god, where will it LAND?"
  4. No kidding? I was 28 rows up on the Cubs side.
  5. I cheered. Well, I watched other people cheer, I was too busy recording it. That's right, I was there. I've got the whole thing on my camera, I'll have to upload it tomorrow when I get home.
  6. Why do you hate posters with a wacky sense of humor so much? I don't hate posters who are funny. even the people that you are voting for don't like you.
  7. is that an arm or a leg?
  8. i love UK, but GO TREE
  9. It's either/or. The same way that Super Bowl XLI is Super Bowl 41. There is no Super Bowl 41. The Super Bowl is officially listed in roman numerals. Rule 5 is officially written in........ what are those called again? Numerical numerals? Numberals? When you reach the point in your life when you become a numbers elitist, it's time to step away from the internet and think about changing your life.
  10. Stick to your guns, Sunny, at least it's funny. (Hoff is worse than Thorman, who probably just needs some time to figure out major league pitching. They could get someone like Howry or Cotts without giving up their best prospect and why would they want a B level pitching prospect from us, anyway? For fun? It makes no sense. Combined with the fact that you love to pretend like you're one of the few that is realistic, this is just non-stop comedy.) Oh yeah, the Braves would just as soon make Salty a 1B than trade him for the Hoff and some potential bullpen help. Oh, and a B level prospect. The only reason they haven't yet is because they haven't had to. They're letting the situation play out a little before panicking. PS Kendall is terrible, what the hell is wrong with you? He's slightly better than Barrett with the glove, and he's basically Neifi with the bat. The mind, it boggles.
  11. Oh, I didn't need to simplify anything to make it look ridiculous. You are doing a very good job of that yourself. You're right, though. I didn't include that you wanted to throw Cotts in the trade. I sold you short there. Things are looking very realistic now. Keep going though. Everyone is wrong and you are the only one seeing things the way they are. QUIT DRINKING THE KOOL-AID, ARENT YOU FULL YET?
  12. Someone called in WGN or the score closely afterward. He said his friend read his lips. . The pitcher (young right?) said. . . Young - Are you alright? Lee - Yeah (and even I could clearly see that in the replay) Young - Then take your base you #*@*#*@. Lee - What!? (again you can see this in the replay) Young - began to repeat himself before the punch. Lee reacted to the fact he almost got hit in the face, and then this fatso pitcher EGGS him on after hitting him in his previously injured wrist? If MLB could know the whole story fatso would get 3 missed starts and lee would get a day. . . . . if they were fair. . Young is like 6'10-260, he's not fat. Also, I'm pretty sure that MLB does know the whole story.
  13. That's a better angle. You can clearly read Young say some real inflammatory stuff.
  14. I wouldnt settle for anything less than Hawpe, Holliday and Larry Walker in his prime. Think they might throw in Bichette, too?
  15. First off, Soriano didnt "stand there and watch it". He totally did showboat, but he was at least moving towards first base the whole time. Secondly, players admire home runs everyday in a far "worse" manner than Soriano without huge fistfights breaking out. David Ortiz doesnt get thrown at in the head every time Manny admires a homer. Trying to put any blame for this on Soriano is stupid.
  16. Because he's a pud. Yeah, that big wussy decided to throw at a 6'5 250 guy instead of a 6'1 190 guy because he's a "pud". Yeah that big wussy threw at a guy who spent all last year rehabbing a wrist injury because he knew it would give him wiggle room for suspension and that Dlee has a reputation of being a calm cool collected good guy. If he wanted to throw at someone to protect David fat boy Wells feelings after Soriano rocked that fat boy he should have thrown at Sori's ribs and dealt with whatever repercussions followed, instead he threw up and in on a guy that had nothing to do with it cause he thought he'd get away with it. HE IS A PUD. If he threw at him (the count was 1-2) it was because he was our best player. It was definitely a dick move, going that high on him, though.
  17. Because he's a pud. Yeah, that big wussy decided to throw at a 6'5 250 guy instead of a 6'1 190 guy because he's a "pud".
  18. From what we know of him, Lee is a really good guy. But a lot of really good guys are capable of overreaction, and at the moment, that's what it looks like.
  19. I hope Zambrano throws a no-hitter and Michael Barrett runs out on the field and hugs him.
  20. Seriously, Elaine is on my top 5 list of hottest women, and I have still never been more attracted to her in my life.
  21. holy [expletive] Lee was throwing haymakers
