  1. oh man now the feuntes thread is ruined
  2. someone in my money league at work dropped michael the burner turner, and somehow, me (12th on waiver priority) picked him up. So now I have Barber, ryan grant, turner, deangelo williams and chris perry to fight for two RB spots. Hopefully Perry does well and I can trade one of the top three for a new QB.
  3. barret pulled a gun first /goony
  4. birthplace: tulsa, ok, what the hell? NEW FAV
  5. at least AP photographers won't be able to take pictures of you distraught... (that was you wasn't it?) It was :( oh god i desperately want to see this picture
  6. it should all be set. you might want to check and make sure i got all the adrian peterson's correct and all that. a special fu award goes to roast, who made a stunning four incorrect picks in like 13 rounds. wtg!
  7. is this the reason our cobs won't win anything
  8. Or not. What Valverde does is no different than what Zambrano does. Zero percent different. but when zambrano does it, it's cute Zambrano's never murdered a family of 5 in their sleep though. yet if it turns out that he's pretty injured, i would think dusty would probably start locking his doors and windows at night He's only got 1 kid though. maybe some cousins are over or somethin i dont know im just thinkin off the top of my head

  10. i'd kind of rather we didn't. seems kind of childish for the team with the best record in baseball to bean an astro because one of their guys celebrates a little too much when they win.
  11. IM UPLOADING THIS ISH TOMORROW YOU BOYS BETTER BE READY
  12. On July 1, the Mets were 3.5 back and a game under .500. Since then, Delgado has hit just over .300 with 17 home runs and 50 rbi. Over that time, Wright has 12 home runs and 39 rbi although his ba has been slightly better. Beltran's numbers have been similar to Wright's over this stretch. There is no doubting that there are more talented players on the Mets than Delgado, but he has been very important in their climb to the top of the division. The best player need not be the most valuable. Why should Delgado's pre-7/1 #s not come into play? His playing like crap the first couple months of the season is a big reason the Mets were in a hole to begin with. Wright, Reyes, and Beltran all play better defense at more premium positions, while putting up better #s on the year. Doesn't that just prove how valuable Delgado is then? i'm going to give the mvp to ryan zimmerman look how bad the nationals have been while he's struggled all year MVP MVP MVP
  13. LOL think I'm going to skip this thread, the usual cast of characters are already going to town.
  14. I like it. It's aggressive. what an aggressive post

Even with that slow start, if Delgado keeps up this pace, he will lead the team in HR and RBI. I also am not saying that Delgado will win, but I think that with what he has done as of late, his name belongs in the mix. That being said, I think that he needs to keep this up for me to continue to think that he belongs at or near the top of the list. Carlos Delgado is 40th in the NL in VORP, behind such luminaries as our own Derrek Lee, Mike Cameron, Jayson Werth and Ty Wiggingon. I'm not saying you necessarily just give it to the guy on top of the VORP leaderboard automatically, but it should never, ever, ever go to a guy that is 40th in his own league.
  16. you've been watching the cubs all year; you haven't seen a 900 ops hitter youre trying too hard to be negative
  17. Why would you expect more out of Edmonds than Soriano? soriano 1.250 ops against sabathia in 35 abs .960 against escobar in 36 1.108 in 28 against chris carpenter 1.235 in 17 against danny haren 1.600 in 12 against jake peavy 2.455 in 9 against erik bedard most batters suck against good pitching ... that's why they're called good pitchers.
  18. What do you think Lou would do if it was Harden? That would be an interesting decision. he would pull him in a heartbeat
  19. matt craig was my grandad's favorite cubs prospect when he was a kid
  20. *wakes up* *checks mark derosa signing thread* yeah its gonna be a good day
  21. Or whatever his name was Best 7th inning stretch singer in the history of 7th inning stretch singers give this dude a job.
  22. Wait, we're going to start up a conversation about Soto and drugs because nobody can prove he ISN'T using them? Lame. it's clearly a joke post soto is so awesome clean, that if he were using roids, he would have had 35 HRs at the break this isn't difficult guys
  23. It's going to be a retardedly high scoring game. I mean, how many deep balls did Illinois beat them with? im sure some of that was due to mizzou not expecting illinois to come out throwing like they did, but still, no excuse for a top-10 team to be getting thrown on like that by juice williams of all people. Our offense is going to be flat our ridiculous this year, but our defense has some important holes. I wouldn't be shocked to lose that game, but I also wouldn't be shocked to win it like 50-40.
  24. no wonder the a's are under .500, they're batting pitchers
