  1. Hell yes. one of my best friends is a huge cubs fan and lives in tulsa... i would think that you might be him, but he can't spell any of the players' names, so it can't be.
  2. good call. i was really young, but i was already full immersed in cubdom, so i snuck out and watched the postgame celebration from behind my dad's recliner. when did we clinch? i have this memory of doing it in montreal, and hearing harry caray say "the joy of victory" as the camera showed the cubs celebrating, and "and the agony of defeat" as it showed andres galaragga in the expos' dugout, but i've never been able to remember if it was true or made up. Yep, it was absolutely in Montreal. Mitch Williams got the save. I think a checked swing was involved in the final out. hey, not bad for an 8 year old

  4. where does this fall in your favorite moments as a cubs fan? wood 20ks z no-hitter sammy 61st, 62nd etc beating atl. in 2003
  5. Cubs' backup catcher Koyie Hill races toward the mound to high-two Carlos Zambrano after his no-hitter.
  6. Who wants to mail a brother a copy of tomorrow's trib? i'll cover shipping and packaging and all that good stuff. pm if me if you feel like going to all the trouble.
  7. oh man, the astros' bitching is almost as fun as the actual no-hitter
  8. i get to watch the game on fox sports, suckers. cubs fan in oklahoma pays off finally
  9. wow, can a game possibly be crazier than that one?
  10. sweet, len needs his robin
  11. i hate the packers a lot, but i find myself feeling pretty happy for aaron rodgers, which disgusts me because he played for cal, too. whatever. AD over 100 yards already, please stay healthy this year.
  12. everyone buy stock in party favors before badnews starts planning his celebration
  13. UK, WHAT HAVE YOU BECOME
  14. i take back everything i said earlier
  15. lol truffle is the whitesox fanbase of colege football 34-20 ou, final prediction we play like crap on the rod, struggle with fast qbs that like to get out of the pocket and our secondary is pretty average if we played them at home, we'd win by 40 EDIT i meant 34-20, not 24-20
  16. i dont understand how a ucla loss brings you any enjoyment.
  17. i'm the nsbb ombudsman, sucka
  18. jimmy Claussen is so embarrassing
  19. how has missouri given up 17 points in one half to nevada
  20. of all the people to say something like this
  21. if you could talk to tim wilken, would you punch him in the head?
  22. Anyone surprised that Owings is the player? I know he struggled this year and was eventually sent down but in many ways, I wish we had him...although I don't know where we would put him. Have him start in place of Marquis? I don't know. And after all, it is for Dunn. jason marquis is a much better pitcher than micah owings
  23. sarcasm? Lopez is garbage and should keep his mouth shut, but don't be fooled by '07 Lilly. His '08 numbers are much more indicative of what kind of pitcher he is. Lilly's a good pitcher, but I think he was referring to the fact that theodore likes to wear human skin as a blanket
