  1. it's now on the table
  2. also im confused by this concept of playoff teams dropping people that they still own so if someone could explain that to me and also let me know how many of these godawful losers on my roster im supposed to keep that would be great
  3. i am looking forward to not understanding the rules for at least 7 months, thanks for having me
  4. Second team: SP Kyle Hendricks I dont know anything about Hendricks from a stuff perspective, but his results remind me of Sean Gallagher. Any reason to think he's better than that?
  5. Villanueva or Baez Yeah, Vitters will be moved this offseason. it's an interesting logjam, for sure. You've got to keep Bryant at 3B for as long as possible, and he'll be at AA before long, so Villanueva will have to move up. Baez will before long too, but he has to stay at short stop. I imagine Olt starts the year at 3B in AAA, and gets called up to the majors when baez and villanueva are ready for AAA.
  6. biggest surprise/ most improved: junior lake? I know the real surprise was that he did so well once called up, but still. biggest disappointment: I had hopes Soler would put together a monster second half after he got situated and instead we barely saw him. favorite long shot: Pineyro
  7. Very meh. I really like Deng, but there was almost no chance that the Bulls could have held onto him without overpaying by way too much relative to his age and talent level, so this is hardly a surprise. petition to rename him future new jersey net luol deng
  8. "picking nits" like laughing about spending 33 million dollars on a below replacement level pitcher. They did the equivalent of the cubs spending spree that got them into all that trouble in the first place, just on a grander scale. It's worked so far for 4/5ths of a season but lets not pretend there's not a pretty good chance they regret some of this [expletive] really soon
  9. He's such a big dude, it seems unfathomable that he would be such a pierre at a plate for so long.
  10. the lindor section was so painfully forced that i could only read every like 5th word
  11. Presumably they consider the lunge a 'football move'? I don't know. ill never get it i guess. the johnson one was exactly the same, except he wasn't hit by a defender.
  12. how was that cruz td not a "process" td like calvin johnson's? caught the ball in midair, got both feet down, reached out with the ball and dropped it when it hit the ground
  13. because theyre partially responsible by promoting his cromagnon stupidity all week.

  15. As bad as OU's offense looks overall (and who knows about the defense, they've looked good, but it's ULM and WVU with a walkon QB and no one of merit at the skill positions) they are piling up running yards. And Texas just allowed 500 to BYU. Cant wait for october.
  16. 2-4, 2 runs, 2 rbi and a homer for Baez. He's gotta start at AAA next year, right?

  18. Szczur's swing is just not built for power. Part of why baseball is so fascinating to me. Mechanics play such a huge role in who you turn out to be.
  19. every time i stumble in a baseball reference rabbit hole and end up at his page im just blown away.

    Rizzo

yea he's justin morneau with more Ks, more walks, less home runs and less average
