Im ok with Maddux if he brings his brother and he toes the company line or whatever but the idea that the right guy for the job is ALSO the best pitcher in team history who has all the history with the team that he does is pretty far fetched.

Im at the office and can only see bits and pieces of the game (with no sound,) so I have no idea what reasoning he's got for this crazy all star game approach, but I think it's [expletive] awesome that it's happening in the playoffs in an elimination game and is working so well.

That's stupid. If Rose is 90% of what he was, they are close. Now that basketball is essentially a three-man game, one injury at the wrong time can make all the difference.
