  1. what could the "crazy on the down-low" comp be for Eloy that Cubs officials gave Manuel? It's not Stanton, because he mentioned him. Sammy?
  2. i guess jersey shore, even though i liked it?
  3. i dont think parker even has two working arms anymore.
  4. bagwell, bonds, and clemens. If you didnt love winning enough to use steroid you dont belong in the hall
  5. I was just thinking about this, but im the total opposite. Football sucks and basketball won't be interesting until the summer. Bring on baseball.
  6. i need stories
  7. That was never confirmed. In fact, some bloggers with decent access to Cubs FO have denied that ever happened. That said, I wouldn't want them to trade him either. Unless it's for a player like Sale. Gleyber is probably more highly-regarded than Eloy and we actually traded him.
  8. thats horsefeathering hilarious
  9. horsefeathers now i have to figure out what SNTS stands for
  10. No kidding
  11. horsefeathers that thread was SO GOOD. Bum was so excited to talk about how he was some weirdo religion also

  13. just do ednel
  14. This is kind of an interesting example of how hard it is to win the world series more than once. I keep lamenting this offseason because it seems like the teams in our "bracket" keep getting better, and we're not exactly doing a lot. But that's because we did a lot last year, and the year before. We won the world series because we spent a lot of money two offseasons in a row, and it's hard to keep doing that. I imagine it's that way for a lot of world series winners -- a spike in spending and wins, and then a period of stagnation.
  15. i had totally erased this from my memory
  16. CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT NUMBER 1 WILL BE
  17. this is a hoax, there's no way javy would have laid off that last pitch with two strikes
  18. and lost in the cute image of Bryant smiling during the third out is that if he sails that throw just a few degrees more, the winning run is on 2nd. God im so glad i dont have to live through those innings ever again without knowing that we win
  19. I just watched the bottom of the 9th of Game 7 again and holy horsefeathers that was more nerve wracking than I forgot. Chapman had nothing, and Kipnis had a great at-bat (worked a full count, just missed dumping one in the RF corner, had some good hacks, swung and missed at ball 4) and really got bailed out by the Kipnis K and Lindor popping out on the first pitch.
  20. now imagine what it will look like when he's not facing 75 mph fastballs down the pipe
  21. lol "hate guys like duffy who are good but have an injury history lets get mark appel who sucks and has an injury history"
  22. the really old one or the one who's missing an arm? the latter (actually more accurately i believe he is missing a rib now) nice he did the marilyn manson. living the dream my man
  23. just started laughing when i remembered that Schwarber missed 99 percent of the season, took like 10,000 swings in a cage and then lit the Indians up in the World Series
  24. joe has earned a few "look the other ways" at this point where you just say "uhhh dont do it again" and move on.
