Yes but it was kinda tempered by the fact that we weren't good yet and really did have a great track record of getting top FAs. I remember thinking the whole thing made sense on like a thousand levels but then getting to end of that train of thought ad being like yeah ill believe it when i see it.

After the 9th inning you can bat whoever you want in the 10th. HOWEVER if you do that you have to bat all pitchers in the 11th. If you make it to the 12th, you can bat whoever you want again, but the pitchers have to run the bases. In the 13th inning, your coaches have to hit. In the 14th inning you can reset your lineup again but all the players have to run backwards. In the 15th inning you can bat the same batter repeatedly, but he has to hit with the opposite hand.

I pitched this idea to Tim and he was non-committal. I think it's a good idea and in lieu of our recent board outage, I'm going to release the idea publicly to what will inevitably be unanimous praise. Before each series against the Cardinals, Tim should set a fundraising goal. (I'm unsure what the yearly cost of the board is but for instance say $500.) If we raise $500 in whatever timeframe he suggests, the profanity filter comes off for the nearest series against the Cardinals. (Or White Sox or whatever.) Once the series is over, the filter goes back on and the fundraising begins again. LET'S CUSS AND SAY BAD WORDS.

lol i mean on the one hand i agree with you and think most of the outrage around whatever tebow is doing in the minors is ridiculous (HES TAKING AT BATS AWAY FROM REAL PROSPECTS,) but on the other hand your nonstop devotion to defending him is one of the most inexplicable things to happen on this board

In the first three years after signing Epstein and Co., we won 200 games and went to the playoffs 0 times. The Brewers won a monstrous 239 games over that same span, also went to 0 playoffs, and have since won an astounding 65 fewer games (and 1 less world series championship) than the cubs. I'd say winning 227 games while watching us dick stomp the rest of the division the last three years has to have been more painful than 2012-2014. -
