  1. If this is the real Kosuke, the next 2 years should be above league average in CF. Nice job KF.
  2. F. Soriano...or more accurately, Hendry for signing him to such a ridiculous contract. The next 5 years are going to be so ugly.
  3. 60 wins. Maybe.
  4. From MLBTR: Lidge, Capps, and Wood have been brutal. As we all know, Gregg hasn't really been that bad, but his very high HR rate has let to a "lower than the rest of the peripherals show" save%. http://www.rotoauthority.com/2009/08/the-worst-closers-in-baseball.html
  5. Samardzija sucks. Another failure for Hendry. Hopefully someone claims one of our high priced players on waivers so the new GM has some money to work with.
  6. Ichiro RF Hanley SS Pujols 1B ARod 3B Mauer C Manny LF Utley 2B Beltran CF Oh, in real life Fukudome Bradley Lee Ramirez Soriano Theriot Soto Fontenot
  7. JA Happ tells Randy Wells to eff off in the ROY race. 10Ks in a 4-hit shutout against the Rockies.
  8. God, he really sucks. How many games has he NOT either given up a run or allowed an inherited runner to score? Just because you wasted $5 million on this guy, Jimbo, doesn't mean you have to keep him on the major league roster. Have him go be the bat boy in Boise or something. And tell him to take Aaron Miles with him. Make them both walk.
  9. Nope. He had at least 17 carries in every regular season game. Yards per touch Forte 4.5 AP 4.9 Carries Forte 316 Jones 34 AP 363 Taylor 101 AP was better last year, but not by an enormous margin, unless we look strictly at rush stats. Cool, thanks for the stats. I agree with the other guys that receptions give Forte an obvious advantage and he is still about 1/2 yard behind AP. Forte is still a very good player, but if I had to pick, I'm still taking AP.
  10. http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/08/03/the-bears-beyond-cutler/ It's also a flat out lie. If Peterson is healthy, Forte can't hold his jock. Doesn't mean Forte is bad, just that AP is that good. There was about 200 total yards seperating the two last season. Pretty sure that will increase this year. Forte is not in the same league as AP, and there's nothing wrong with that. Didn't Peterson miss some games? Also, Chester Taylor had to have gotten more carries than Kevin Jones/bad Adrian Peterson did on the Bears. What were their respective yards per touch? I'm guessing APs was much higher.

  12. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Ya, make sure you can make the next Klan rally.
  13. Ortiz joins Tavarez as pitchers the Cubs put the final nail in...
  14. Everyone on this board freaked out about trading Sean Gallagher last year. How has that worked out so far? Jay Jackson isn't nearly as highly regarded as Gallagher was. Like someone said earlier, Hendry hasn't exactly given away Jeff Bagwell or John Smoltz in his trades, so I'm not all that worried about it.
  15. I remember being so pissed when Rolen went to the Cards, but then we got ARam. Aram>>>>>>Rolen since then.
  16. Just wanted to thank OO and CR for keeping these threads updated. I really appreciate having all of this info. By no means am I a minor league guru, but when I can easily get the stats with some good commentary, I appreciate it, especially when trying to determine our prospects' value around trade deadline time. Thanks guys! =D> =D> =D>
  17. Ill take it. Lets hope Fox slides in for ARam and produces just like hes been doing. Not that there's any reason TO change it, but Piniella is pretty much just putting the same exact position order out there and just substituting the names at this point. 8,6,3,5,9,7,4,2,1
  18. And give him a pat on the back!
  19. Ben Francisco from the Indians would have been nice, but now he's on the Phils. Is Lastings Milledge worth giving anything up for?
  20. And Milton's quest for .250 is complete!!! .250 on the dot. First time this year. Congrats Milton.
  21. Is that Hoff's 1st career triple? If so, that could be the first time a first HR and first 3B on back to back ABs.
  22. Doug Brocail should retire immediately.
  23. And Carlos Lee goes to his future position (1st base). Well, other than the seat he has worn down at Old Country Buffet.
