    Actually, if the game ended right now, it would be the FIRST DAY of the entire season MBs batting average would end above .250.     I'm really hoping the Jays hold on to Halladay until the offseason. That way the Cubs may be able to get involved, although I don't think we have the organizational firepower to win a bid like that.

    I'm getting less and less impressed by this front office by the day. McDonough seems to be taking charge of everything despite not really knowing anything about hockey. He just wanted to make the splash.

    Say what you will about the guy (like: he sucks, has the worst contract in the history of the NL central, etc...) but he certainly likes being out there playing. At the very least, he's not like Todd Hundley who would find any excuse to not be in there.

    Lee is a monster right now. My god. I can't imagine having Pujols, it would be like this for 9 consecutive years. Go Derrek!

    How come Jim Hendry makes good signings on guys like this yet just completely sucks when signing free agents in the offseason? Unless this is just common sense and these guys really want to play for the Cubs, which could be entirely possible, especially with Dempster and Edmonds and Reed J. I don't know anything about Ryan to say if that's the case or not.
