    Not that you should feel bad in any way, but people like you who live right there not going to any more games when they were the Cubs affiliate (vs. another MLB team) probably have something to do with them not investing in the stadium enough to "outbid" South Bend.

    I don't know that D. Jackson and Decker are going to play this week. I love Vereen this year, even though he did nothing last week. Other than that, I guess Fred Jackson and Colston. Thanks. I've never liked Donald Brown and Mathews wasn't doing much, so I'm glad you didn't say him. I LOVE Vereen but was so pissed that Belichick went with Ridley. Maybe he didn't want to risk Vereen as the game was a blowout in the 4th? I hope that's the case.

    Really wanted us to sign Hughes this past offseason. Hammel helped get us a great return, but having Hughes would have been awesome.

    You are correct. http://deadspin.com/5966336/[expletive]-you-pelicans-are-awesome-a-defense-of-the-nbas-best-new-team-name I've been to a game at Myrtle Beach. Nice, new-ish stadium, is the center of a kid-friendly complex with some lame chain restaurants, mini-golf, and low-mid range hotels (Fairfield Inn, etc...). So, it's about as Myrtle Beach as you can get. Could be a nice diversion for dads that are spending a week there with their kids in the summer.

    Let's not get crazy here. He may be top 10, but could be fourth in his own division after Saban, Miles, and Malzahn. He was 4-4 in conference last year. Wait until there's at least a BCS bowl before you erect the statue. That being said, Purdue wishes every day for a time machine to hire this guy several years back. Gotta suck watching an alum dominate like this and know you probably won't ever be able to hire him.

    The Cubs had about 10 entertaining days but since Rizzo, Castro, and now Soler aren't around, yikes. That is just god-awful.

    They're all tied together for this year and the subsequent 2 seasons unless they win less than 4 games in any of the next 2. MAYBE if they go 4-12, 4-12 they'd be gone before that 3rd season, but this is an organization that let Dave Wannstedt coach 6 seasons and Dick Jauron 5 seasons. Not to mention they ran out their 2nd or 3rd best coach in franchise history after a 10 win season to get Trestman in there. I doubt they pull the plug after 2 or even 3 years unless it's a complete and utter disaster. Edit: Originally had Jauron at 7 seasons, changed to 5.

    You like Jacksons huh? I'd probably go Colston and DeSean, with Fred a close 3rd. LOL, yeah. I also have Vincent Jackson on the roster. I was trying to get another one and calling my team The Jackson Five, but that never transpired. Yes, I was drunk during the draft. Colston and DeSean is who I thought as well, thanks for the confirmation!

    If they're serious about winning next year, he should be up the first damn game. They make too much money to worry about an extra $15MM 3 years from now. No. That is foolish. The difference between him and Coghlan/Valbuena or someone like that for like 3 weeks worth of games is negligible (hell, very easily could be a net gain). No, it's a stupid [expletive] game they are playing because they operate like bunch of [expletive] penniless rubes. Scott Boars will be like 100 when it comes time for Bryant to negotiate his big contract. If you want to win more games next year you bring him up this year to start the major league development process. You do realize it has very little to do with money and nearly 100% to do with having the player for an extra year right? I mean, based on the bolded, it's obvious you don't, but I just thought I'd ask. No trip to KC sucks because I can always manage to get out there for a "work trip" when they go. Actually, no it doesn't. Baez came up this August, if Bryant comes up next June, they'll have the same Free Agency date.

    i think i'm going to bring the fam up for that series as well, but i'm a hilton man myself I generally don't care despite my work mandating Marriott, but that rate was excellent for downtown Minneapolis that weekend. Next best was ~$159 for anything above 2*.
