  1. Today is the day. 3 starts. I need good ones. With Votto having an off week and Krod seeing very little action, I need to have the rest of my team pick it up.
  2. No, but I would be willing to store one of them on my DL:) Mauer and Guerrero are currently on my list.
  3. Hoffpauir>>>Lee
  4. What is with my opponents this year? Tooters has had 6 starts so far this week, but they have two scheduled for today????? and .... Abuck is banned from NSBB?
  5. That is my memory, that I claimed him last Sunday. But that would explain things. I thought that it was the day before the waiver run, but in reality it was the day after. :? It has alwats been Sunday morning? I could swear that in years past that I had to remeber to check my team on Monday morning to see who I had picked up in the waiver run and then adjust my line-up. And yes, I should have just waited and picked him up as a free agent #-o
  6. When I put in for Scutaro, it said it would be processed Sunday morning. Every player I have requested so far has come in for me. It seems we had a rule change from last year that I was unaware of and that I must have put the request in for Bartlett after the deadline??? But in any case this is not a big deal, just surprised.
  7. I was surprised to see that the waiver was last night. I thought it always ran on Sunday nights. Also I put in the request for Bartlett last weekend. Did anyone else have this experience? I assume additions to today's line-up due to waiver pick-ups are legal.
  8. My pitching is still doing well, but I will need more offense as the season progresses. Kendrick needs to get his act together and Mauer needs to come back.
  9. Just checking. If we call up a minor leaguer now, then we can't fill his spot in our minor league until the June NSBB draft, right?
  10. An ugly win, but I will take it. If I don't start getting some more offense soon, then this winning straek will not continue.
  11. Shane - I sent you an e-mail - but according to CBS's stat page, and my memory, you have had six starts already this week and yet you have two scheduled for today. Remember that the rule for an extra start in a week is that your best start is taken away by the commish.
  12. Oops  Panic on my part. All is normal again.
  13. What happened to the scoring over night? Several of my players have lost all of their points! Ooops. Just normal early morning changes by CBS.
  14. Stoney is doing the color for the White Sox??? Since when?
  15. Whew...I thought that Pettitte was pitching for NY today. The Yankees have issues.
  16. Vlad is on the DL for over a month  Shouldn't be surprised though. Whne I saw him on TV he did not look right. While the DL is for his chest, he still appears to walk gingerly on his knees.
  17. Whew...Held on for a close win. Now on to the perfect season \:D/ For a moment I thought the Quakers had choked. What was frustrating was that I had over 50 pitching points on the bench, but given a choice of Zambrano/Jurrjens over Guthrie/Buerhle I would make the same decision again, especially since Jurrjens and Zambrano did so well their first time out.
  18. My pitching has been decent, but outside of Votto and Dunn my offense has been asleep.
  19. Robert has a 4-1 start advantage on me at this point. Barring a colapse of my starting pitching, I'm hoping to be ok this week. We'll soon see! I need for you to have a couple starts similar to what I got from Cook. That's being greedy... You only have one bad start thus far, and I have a not so good one from Roy. Greed is good! That is a 90's philosophy. The 21st century has taught us a new reality.
  20. Quality pitching really makes a difference. But my west siders had a good night too. Broxton picked up a save, Kendrick had a dinger, both Guererro and Cabrerra had hits. All-in-all a nice start for the Fight'n Quakers \:D/
  21. A complete game shut out would be nice
  22. A max of seven starts per week, we can rotate pitchers in/out to reach those seven starts, and we lose our best start of the week if we accidently go over seven. A player can be taken out if he is day-to-day and put on the bench if CBS places an injured symbol next to his name. A player can be placed on the DL if and only if he is actually on the ML teams DL. Just seeing if my memory is correct.
  23. Just to confusify Juan's simple explaination. You can keep him in your Roadkill minors until he is not minor league eligible, unless his real club actually puts him back into the real minor leagues again and that is his current real life placement.
  24. Despite the fact that an article on the Twins website states that it will be at least two weeks and possibly a month into the season before Mauer rejoins the team, paranoia rules. The thought of Abuck picking up mauer on the waiver wire...arg...I will just have to pick up a reserve catcher as soon as Mauer is officially on the DL.
  25. I am assuming that Mauer's stay on the DL will be brief, but if not I may contact you.
