  1. Anyone else having issues entering the Cub's site? I want to watch the game. Edit: Never mind. It finally opened up.
  2. Do not post much anymore, but I do read the posts in order to pick up different insights into the Cubs and the game of baseball in general. Thanks for everything that you have done. It is appreciated.
  3. Normally I would agree, ... a 30 year old who went through waivers = no value. But he has looked good of late.
  4. Trade or keep? Would he bring enough value? Is he a Cub next year?
  5. This game was really fun to watch. Not only did the Cub's win, but Thompson, Hughes, and Morel. They give me hope for the future.
  6. The article for the Tigers is on Fansided by Scott Daniel... He talks about the price going steep( Gage Workman, Reese Olsen, and Daz Cameron), but it would be worth it to salvage a terrible start by the Tigers. I edited and posted the links to the articles above.
  7. I read the rumors on my Google feed. So the trustworthiness of the rumor is to be doubted. Just bloggers for the Sox and Tigers who liked Happ's versatility (OF and 2B) and seem to think he could be had for some prospects in their organizations. Not top level, but good enough to be interesting. Motorcitybengals.com Southsidesox.com
  8. I have seen at least two rumors involving trading Happ for prospects (Tigers and White Sox). Should we? Is it too early? Only if the price is right?
  9. I do not seem to be in the majority on this thread, and heaven knows that I enjoy watching baseball, but there should not be a season this year.
  10. Have the players found a way to mask the supplements?
  11. Vargas, works 88 -89. Has a curve at 71.
  12. I am at the Emeralds game. Does anyone know anything about Frias. He is pitching for the Hops (Diamondbacks). He makes 97 look easy.
  13. I didn-t have a chance to see the game. How did Maples look?
  14. Sigh. Cannot say I am surprised. But if this is the end, it was a nice run.
  15. Count me in.
  16. Per ny times. 5 years for $86 Million.
  17. I am finding that I have an occasional fit of giggles. Every once in awhile it dawns on me that the [expletive] Cub's actually won the world series. I have to giggle with joy and then tell myself it is real. :yahoo:
  18. Quakers trade Jensen to Cucamunga for his 5th round pick in the 2017 vet draft. I thought Jensen would create a little more interest.
  19. Nor do I want to manage his team. Make his line-up illegal. Give him 0 points each week. This is a drag, but what can we do?
  20. Lester on the bench is not right. Not complaining mind you, but i am feeling guilty.
  21. True. It is not that big of deal. Just hoping it's not a pattern.
  22. Ok, Thome is up to 9 starts now....
  23. I have always thought that Skulina was destined to be a decent mlb reliever.
  24. Quakers

    Week 1

A nice start to the season for the Quakers. But a couple of dud starts from Lackey and Ross, plus Ross being put on the dl.
