  2. Damn, I wanted to have my name mentioned first in a thread :banghead:
  3. :-)) Not yet, but he has been trying.
  4. Check is in the mail. Thanks for organizing everything again =D>
  5. Will CBS allow us to trade draft picks to each other before the draft like we have in the past, or will we have to draft for each other and then trade that player later?
  6. Sounds like Juan is rare'n to go:) ;)
  7. I've got to admit that my interest level in MLB baseball is down too. also, with my traveling over the past few summers I haven't not been able to follow Boise like I use to. But I am still up for Roadkill:)
  8. Do you see Soriano and/or Soto returning to previous levels of performance? Baker/Fontenot being a decent enough option at second? Fukudome providing enough offense in right? Even with the addition of Byrd our offense has a lot of question marks. With Harden gone, Lilly coming off surgery and Zambrano becoming more of a head case our starting pitching probably will not be as strong as last year. Can we rely on Wells?
  9. Whoa! I hope you are correct, but.... Someone thinks the Cubs will win the Central next year? Is it because the rest of the division will be worse or do you think the Cubs will rebound? Please convince me that I am being pessimistic when I think that the Cubs will be closer to the cellar than the top.
  10. It sounds like I am going to have to rethink my keepers then.
  11. I wish I had make the championship game. My team would have easily beat either finalist.
  12. Still pondering my final choices but here is where I am at; My keepers C - Mauer - 541.5 1b - Votto - exempt 2b - Kendrick - 289.2 SS - Zobrist - 518 3b - Reynolds - exempt OF - Dunn - 525.8 OF - McCutcheon - exempt OF - Para - exempt SP - Jurrjens - exempt SP - Blackburn - exempt Slowey is also exempt so I may elect to keep him rather than Para. I will be interested in discussing a trade. Guerrero and Krod both have less than 300 points, so they may be of interest to someone. BTW - Zobrist played 13 games at short this year, will he qualify at short next year?

Juan would have to give the definitive answer, but my guess would be yes for playoff teams and no for us lowly wait-til-next-year types. We've said that it's OK to pick up prospects if called up by major league teams (that's how I was able to pick up Norris). But I also think Juan said last year that non-playoff teams shouldn't be making roster moves. I don't know whether changing rules with respect to minor leaguers changes that or not. you can pick them up - they can be in the minors during the offseason as long as they don't exceed the limits. The reason to not make roster moves is that I don't want a big pool of players dumped into the mix for the playoffs. the limit will be what it was last year. I picked up Hudson and put him in my minors. Hudson is playing in the majors. He will have few enough appearances to stay in the minors during the off season. I did not put him on my bench, since you did not want to have any extra free agents available to the play-off teams. When are we going to have our minor league draft? Sometime after the play-offs are over? Th

I am in a similar situation. (.500 this season). I hope that Wood and Maybin get less than 200 ABs so I can keep them in the minors during the off-season. BTW - I will have plenty of room under the cap to make trades and plenty of interesting and exempt keepers. When trading season starts people should talk to me. I assume we still can not pick up minor leaguers. But, can we pick up players who are september call-ups and then keep them in the minors during the off-season?

I may have a problem with 4 starts. Last week I had way too many, but this week, if CBS is right, I will have only 1. This sucks.

    Week 15

Did we decide to limit the number of starts?
  25. I currently have 4 players reserved, since I do not want to exceed 7 starts. Also, Guerrero was day-to-day so I benched him and recalled Para.
